Hey guys, I’m very new to lemmy, so far my experience has been great but after I made a NSFW post this morning in a NSFW community the post was promptly taken down, my SFW post had its image removed and all but two comments I’ve ever made are gone too. My avatar (SFW) and banner (SFW) were also removed. I haven’t received any comment on this and this is the only avenue I could find to seek help. I’m guessing I may have broken a probationary period that comes with a new account or maybe I was flagged as a bot? Any insight would be appreciated!

That link is very helpful, but it’s showing restorations that I do not see on my account?

Edit: never mind, I see the reasons for removal now

For NSFW content, I suggest posting in the lemmynsfw.com instance. Moderation of NSFW content in a dedicated NSFW instance is different.

I’m not exactly familiar with “instances,” if I’m posting to a NSFW community, is it not inherently a lemmynsfw instance?

Looking at your post mod actions, it looks like you did post to a lemmynsfw.com instance community using your lemmy.world account. All I can suggest is to open an account directly in lemmynsfw.com and keep your NSFW account separate from your SFW account. I believe Lemmy.world tries to keep it SFW.

EDIT: It is easy to maintain separate accounts in mobile apps like Voyager. It even switches accounts to your LemmyNSFW account if you try to post there.
