I’m a bit intrigued by the downvote ratio; is it pro-systemd people seing the meme as too anti -systemd, or anti-systemd people seing it as the opposite? Or is it more about the graphic choices ?

As someone who was just about to downvote (and then lost interest) it’s just that I’m. So. Fucking. Sick of SystemD discourse. Yall have been at this for 15+ years now. Let it fucking go. Fuck.

I mean, if we GNU/Linux users weren’t to make ideological debates about software, what would we have to meme about?

I think users of other operating systems might not have such passionate discussions. This is probably a side effect of having freedom.

I was just about to say, yes it can get tiresome to hear the same debates over and over, but it’s kind of what makes FOSS great. We can debate about it and actually have our stances make a difference in the end result of how our systems function.

I think it’s more that people who prefer systemd don’t feel as strongly about it because there’s so little to get worked up about

Void user here, i think more accurately Void would be a former crush who flirted with systemd but systemd couldn’t fit their needs. Now she looks at him today like “nope, i don’t want any of that in my life no more 😊”
