Let’s hope it brings some people here!
Also, for some reason I couldn’t post the duplicate (they had already crossposted the previous post a month ago), hence the Red dit:
The usual recommendation is to go for a server that is managed by a few admins (feddit.org went the extra mile and is managed by a non profit: https://fediverse.foundation/)
well we learnt from our mistake xD
what mistake?
Only having one admin.
It happend last year were our sole admin, Wintermute, handed off some administrative powers to some mods and went on vacation in Asia…
The pictrs subsystem of Lemmy had a malfunction during that time, we couldn’t do anything as the handed off powers were not enough to fix the issues caused by it, the default UI became unresponsive. Plans were planned on matrix and we all left the sinking ship that was feddit.de
I do not give guarantees on historical factuality.
You indeed did xD
It’s only non-US if you choose a non-US instance…
Interesting as you are commenting from one of the only US instances in the top 20

I’ve never heard of anyone on Reddit asking about the devs extremists views.
Also, maybe use email providers that most people know instead?

I noticed that whenever I don’t, someone pulls up the Dessalines essays. Better safe than sorry
