Google wallet won’t work with a custom rom with a way more recent security update. However, it will work on stock OS that hasn’t been updated for 3 years.
For that reason, fuck Google wallet, and Google pay.

I’m currently using a custom ROM with root and use Google pay pretty often you just need to get the right ROM
It works, but requires a shit ton of time to constantly stay on top of fixing Play Integrity.

As long as you’re in the right TG groups, fixes for integrity and bypassing checks in apps in general are posted quite frequently.
