You have to get out of your daily cycle to find someone. Dating apps suck. Meetups are fantastic to meet new people and develop new friend circles. It’s how I met my best friend, and my life evolved from there. Don’t give up. You’ll find someone eventually.

100% agree. But there’s no reason to limit innovation because some people can’t take advantage of it. Just like we shouldn’t force people to have to consistently upgrade just to have access to something, however there should be a limit to this. 20 years of tech changes is huge. You could get 2 Gb of Ram in a computer on most home computers back in the early-mid 2000’s…that’s two decades ago.
I’m still gaming on my desktop that I built 10 years ago quite comfortably.
This is like the definition of a “conservative”. Progress shouldn’t happen because their not ready for it. They are comfortable with what they use and are upset that other people are moving ahead with new things. New things shouldn’t be allowed.
Most games have the ability to downscale so that people like this can still play. We don’t stop all progress just because some people aren’t comfortable with it. You learn to adjust or catch up.

Whenever there’s more comments but you can’t see them. It’s because a mod likely deleted them. Has happened several times.
There’s some growing pains, but within a federated system, I think there needs to be community aggregation at a certain point. There’s no need to host 50 different identical communities, and it’s arguable that it makes things worse. I’m hoping that someone will eventually be able to develope the tools to easily allow for community aggregation in the future.
You have to simulate a metropolitan police department for a futuristic city. You have to maintain funding by making sure neighborhoods and districts are safe. There would be side missions where you take out the local gangs in that area, discover that there’s a evil, crime syndicate that’s manipulating crime within the city. You have to capture, interrogate, and decide to either charge someone or let them go. Your actions determine what kind of department you run. Are you corrupt? Are you by the books? Do you inspire people to do better, or do you strike fear in the citizens of your city. It’d be completely open world, you’d control your department on an overhead map, assign cops certain roles or positions at certain locations. You maintain relationships with your cops, and you have to go home daily, and hope your second in command is up to the tasks of maintaining things without you. You also have to contend with corrupt cops and corrupt politicians that provide your funding. Do you risk losing funding and your position? Or do you make your citizens proud by upholding the law?
As someone who travels a lot, it’s exhausting and incredibly expensive. Either it’s short enough that you feel obligated to try and stay consistently busy or it’s long enough that you begin to miss the familiar. I had dreams of trying to join the Century Club when I was younger - I’m about a 3rd of the way there, and the older I get the more I feel like I hate travelling due to how exhausting it is - dealing with airports is just the absolute worst. I’m worried that I’m going to get to retirement and just be done with it all and just become a hermit.

Our malamute had Grand Mal Seizures when he was older. Had to get him on meds. We had to keep him away from our other husky as we were worried about this exact same thing from happening.

Well, for starters, there are hobby related meetups. I did boardgames and made several friends through that. There are also Singles meetups for certain age ranges. Where they go to go to bars, breweries, or other activities - essentially somewhere where they can meet and talk. My best friend met his current wife at one. Check them out. You’d be surprised what’s available. There are book clubs, sports leagues, etc.
Find something that interests you, and maybe you’ll make a connection with someone.
