  • Perhaps I was in school before the idea of different learning styles was a thing. I always asked why, or how, things works. I need to understand the why to understand the how…or the how for the why… if that makes sense.

No, the work sheet doesn’t help, nor the make up work sheet. “That’s just how it is” does not explain anything. I’m bad at math because, beyond basic arithmetic, it’s all gobbledygook to me. Now I get self conscious, freeze up and can’t add simple numbers if put on the spot. So I make self deprecating comments about myself because I have no self esteem. Not that I’m proud of my failure.

  • Read the comment with instructions man. Wipe with toilet paper first, as normal. Then wash with soap and water. Then dry with a towel. If you’re smearing poop all over everything you’ve got other issues to work out.

To answer your question, it is cleaner than just using toilet paper because you are wash with soap and water after you use the toilet paper. If you manage to get poop all over the towel when you’re done washing, then TP alone was never going to suffice.

  • We stood up during the anti Iraq war protests, occupy Wall Street, blm, pro-choice, marched for lgbtq rights, human rights, the environment.

We’re burned out because (mostly) nothing changed or got worse… also busy working to the bone to be able to afford to go to work tomorrow.

Perfect consumer because everything we need to buy is designed to fail and not be repairable.

  • I say next Saturday for the Saturday that will occur soonest.

If someone waiting at a bus stop asks me which bus goes to the train station, I say the “the next one”. Meaning the one that will appear first at the bus stop, not the one after that. Which makes sense for days of the week too, to me anyway.

I am always being corrected, though.

  • I don’t understand much here.

You’re struggling in self taught high school geometry, but tested out at CC.

You took HS, CC, and online intro to biology classes all at the same time.

The CC wouldn’t let you run experiments due to lack of facilities.

You are used as an expert judge in competitions in your (unknown) field.

You want to maximize time in a college or university research lab.

I’ll say this, you most likely won’t be in a lab much as an undergraduate, so don’t worry about transferring as a freshman. Why not ask all the friends and acquaintances in the research labs for advice and help? If that’s where you’d like to end up?

Also, if you can already enroll in the college, then they, and no one, cares about your academic past- especially high school…

  • It all started with a dude looking at skulls, he saw one that was the most symmetrical, the best looking skull he ever saw. He decided it must belong to a white European, as they are the best people (/s). He finds out that the skull was that of a person from the Caucus mountains.

Caucasian has been used to describe the ‘superior’ white Europeans since. So, OP is using the word correctly really. They say African, Asian, Latino because those are other races… with unpleasant skulls.

This is a gross oversimplification, but one of the modern excuses for racism and race superiority. Also, why ‘Caucasian’ is used to say white European.

  • Look up stretches for glutes, hip flexors, quads, hamstrings, ITB (I think that’s what it is) and low back.

There are many, some a bit easier if you’re not quite flexible at the moment. Sorry I can’t be more precise- I’ve got a mental catalog of stretches that I’ve accumulated since high school track 20 years ago… and I’ve heard them called different things, or done slightly differently over the years. I’m not the best example, I tend to do them every once in a while when things get stiff and or tight /sore. …
