- The president going to New Caledonia, it’s a glimmer of hope!
- Why? Is he going by helicopter?
I was thinking exactly that yesterday, I looked for a way to have few web apps without using ferdium.
“Mangez le si vous voulez” (Eat him of you wish)
A book relating events that happened in 1870 in a French village. From a misunderstanding one guy is beaten, released, tortured and ultimately burned alive with people bridging toast to collect the fat that was dripping from the fire.
All the events happened in a single day that goes from mundane to horror.
I understand you’re argument but I disagree. If the goal is to use FreeCAD then yeah, it’s probably better to start as a beginner.
If the goal is design parts using CAD then Onshape is a much better option in my opinion.
I would definitely recommend Onshape, this is what I use.
It’s great that FreeCAD exist but I would not recommend it for a beginner in CAD, there is a very steep learning curve before being able to create anything in it.
No,
There is all the backup of all my family pictures in the drives.
If something happens to me I want to make due that they will have access to it.
Yeah, having kids made me realize how important it is to choose my battle.
I prefer being strict on a limited set of important rules and more lenient on the rest rather than trying to do too much and just giving up on everything when i’m exhausted.
Like it’s fine if my two years old is a bit messy on the table and does not finish his plate as long as he’s trying the food and let us have our dinner too in a relative peace.
“Do what you are passionate about”/" Choose a job that you love …" and
“Turning a hobby into a job”
is two different things for me.
For me anyone should try to find a job they are passionate about if it’s a possibility.
I love Space, when I started my engineering degree I did everything I could to orient my career toward aerospace and I loved it. I worked as an aerospace manufacturing engineer and I was good at it because I loved that.
I also love cooking but clearly I’m glad I did not tried to become a chef, I’m very happy that it stayed a hobby.
Daft-Punk - Random Access Memory
My roommate got his bike stolen in front of a busy café. When he arrived people showed him where the thief went.
It took a good minute for the thief to break through the lock in front a busy cafe and no one bats an eye.
I loved the visit too.
The work they do with historians is really interesting, when they need informations about how people where doing X at this period the historian guide them but sometimes the historian have several contradicting theories so they test the theory on the site and report to the historian which one is actually working.
Your bank are allowing you to use characters ? Mine only allows numbers for the password, it has to be 8 number, no less, no more.
Instead of water you can add a bit of beer to cook the onions. You don’t taste the beer at the end but it brings a bit more flavors at the end.
I find that Onshape is quite good and is all browser based so it runs quite well on linux.

I think that for this one we can all agree on “not speaking the language”
I was doing some blacksmithing in high school, mostly knifes.
When reaching 800°C steel is not magnetic anymore, it’s also a good temperature to start forging the steel. So I needed a atrong magnet to know when the steel was hot enough, I used what I have available: a hard drive magnet.
It felt quite “mad-maxy” to disassemble a broken hard drive to use it as a tool to forge knifes
Me too, I would probably watch it with a group a friends.
Tailscale is amazing, I work with a small company and we were battling with our IT contractor to have a VPN running for remote work.
After a while of things not working as it should I just set up tailscaled because I was using it with my home server and it just works.
We are now on a paid plan and everyone else is using it when working remotely.
Yes, this particular ratio allows the fact that you can fold a A3 paper in two and get two A4 sheet
