When I retire I want to hike and camp, cook really nice meals, grow a garden, and make hot rods.

They’ve been raised on systems where you don’t need it, and they fundamentally don’t understand how one talks to a computer. It’s actually quite a bit to learn, and if you didn’t grow up doing it, it seems like a big cliff.
He’s not though, you should look into it
The day I learned that Linus shares my disdain for all things OOP was such a good day for me.
Need cuda.
I got banned for suggesting that Hamas doesn’t care about Palestinian people, in the same comment where I said that Israel is committing genocide.
Some kind of purity test bullshit.
No I think Colorado USA is maybe the best place in the world to live as long as a certain asshole isn’t elected president.
All my friends live here and so does my family and I have no intention of leaving them, they are too important to me.
I wish Ubuntu was just xUbuntu by default and that xfce didn’t have like 4 different settings menus for no reason. I’d also like it if there was a minimalist icon theme by default, and a dock like old school vanilla Ubuntu.
Oh and better multi monitor support
People are posting all kinds of ridiculous solutions that they know are impossible. Legalize drugs. Use less drugs. The cartels run more than just drugs! They run fucking avocados!! And electronics!! They have diversified. Never mind that it’s politically impossible to do anything like that. It can’t happen.
Invading Mexico and shooting the cartels CAN happen. It gives money to the defense industry, which itself is enough reason that it could happen. It’s probably even in the USA’s best interest to try and de-corrupt Mexico (never mind that this would be a bloody mess with huge loss of life). My point isn’t that it’s a good idea, it’s that it’s a solution that could actually happen in real life.
It’s because we live in an age where people use the tactic of “well I just like this one thing he said” as a gateway to awful shit.
Pre-9/11 airport travel
Every time I’m at the airport, I’m haunted by the memory of how it it was. We really fucked up. For something as important as public transportation, we really screwed up by sacrificing privacy for the fake feeling of security.
I think it’s exactly why they do it
Many people, including myself, are too dumb to understand that other people don’t value the same thing in us that we value in others.
You see them try and become what they like, in order to try to appeal to others. “Well I wish I got more attention, so I’m going to give tons and tons of attention to others”. “I wish someone would make a grand romantic gesture to me, so I’m going to do that to someone else”. That kind of thing.
This is sometimes called “fundamental attribution error” although I think that concept covers a bit more ground.
Playing magic cards. I just print them all off at the library
OP I’m sorry all these bootlickers are telling you you’re sick or wrong or bad for not wanting to be awake for a needlessly long “full day” of work. I don’t have a sleep disorder but I can’t do it either. You know how I know I don’t have a sleep disorder? I don’t get sleepy on the weekends.
Anyways here’s how I’ve solved it. What I do is I show up at 10, take a 2-hour lunch break, then leave at 3. They don’t even know I’m gone.
Don’t let these assholes break your spirit, stay strong.
I can’t have caffeine and I use ubuntu
Checkmate
Two chicks at the same time
Not sure about the third wish
Solid 7 stick
Could use a bit more girth and gnarl
I have a setting and characters but no story. And I have stuff that could be part of a story, but I don’t know how to put it together. Like an arranged marriage, and jealousy between someone born to power and someone who fought to earn it. I just don’t know how to make a story that fits all of them in there.
