I just switched off of it last week! I landed on NeoLauncher to match how I used Nova, but its a bit buggy. Fossify Launcher just had its 1.0.0 release yesterday too! Ive also heard good things about Lawnchair, but for me it wasn’t quite customizable enough. if anyone else has suggestions for Foss Launchers, share them here!
I haven’t heard about it before today but I tried asking it what separates it from other LLMs and apparently the answer is just that it does a google search and shows you the source its summarizing, which if true is not very compelling, and if a hallucination or missing details then its at least not very compelling as a search replacement
what package manager?
edit: nvm its apt
think it’d be able to handle the extra programmable keys from my Logitech g110 keyboard?
is this a bot response or something? I fucking love my bone conduction headphones but theyre defintily not appropriate for side sleepers, hell I can’t even use a headrest comfortably while wearing them let alone lay down with them on
I’m gonna go buy one for that wireless android auto, I never even considered a dongle let alone a DIY pi dongle! do you have a link for that wireless thimbdrive one too? and/or is there an easy way to browse other interesting images/tasks you can do with the pi zero w?
his partner on stage made a joke about his birthday wish being that next time the trump shooter doesn’t miss, and jack cancelled the tour over that. its debatable if this was actually intended to be in service of trump or if jack is just really against assassinations but the end result is that trump benefitted and the duo Tenacious D is no longer doing thier tour
is there anything like obtanium on Linux (fedora) desktop? there are several apps I use that dont seem to be part of dnf or flatpak and its a pain to manually check for and install updates from github
is it on fdroid or do I need to go to github
or syncthing depending on your use case
Good bot
Proton Mail and VPN. I saw them advertised a lot when I was first getting into Linux, and it seemed like a great way to start the arduous task of degoogling my life. Its been several months now and my only complaint is setting up the VPN on Linux desktop, it works great on android ootb and the email and calandar service have everything I need. I can even easily share calandar invites with my wife who is still on google everything
When I was a kid I had a friend who’d call me the R slur pretty frequently. Besides ADHD Im basically nurotypjcal, he just meant to say I was being stupid. I kind of internalized it at the time and it gave me some self confidence issues about my intelligence, but I think that would’ve happened even if he wasn’t using a slur.
Purple. Idk the hwx code for it, it’s just purple
Either when I lived through a magnitude ~7 earthquake while on the 21st floor of an airbnb in a country I didn’t speak the main language of, or the time a moth flew into my ear and got stuck there alive so deep in my ear that four hours later at the hospital the doctors almost didn’t believe that it happened to me at all. I could hear it flapping and struggling the whole time.
The building I was in stayed structurally sound, and the doctors did eventually believe me and find a way to drown/suffocate the moth (although they couldn’t get the corpse out until I could make an appointment with an ear specialist 3 days later because of a long weekend. So I guess maybe both stories are not so interesting in the end, but they still mark two of the worst moments of my life
