OuterTube is awesome! I tried it and LOVED its interface. I feel like it had the most fun interface but it crashed a few times on me and Metrolist won out. Then of course, I found ViMusic. I’d try for Outer Tune again but Vi is the only one built to use Piped instances instead of YT Music.

Metrolist is my backup player incase something happens to ViMusic. Metrolist has solid quality and beautiful interface and really stable. But Vi is just perfect. But if Metrolist is working for you then dont fix what isn’t broken.
They’re keeping a more constant one going as a mod all through lite apk’s and 9mod. This one didn’t run so stable for me. Be sure to install the one called clone. Through the Spotify clone app I was linked to the official github for the actual new ViMusic. https://9mod.com/download/spotify-x-gold-43447
Thank you for taking the time to check it out! Signing up for a piped account was tricky for me. Let me grab you the link to register for the instance then sign into that in the settings in ViMusic. Also disable power saving options and if you have issues then enable invincible mode. https://piped.private.coffee/ Took me a while to figure that out and find it. Welcome to true music anonymity!
I don’t believe Harmony is based on Piped. Doesn’t it base off a YT account? I tried it. I tried them all.
Only on github for now.
I don’t believe this is the same original developer. But this is definitely ViMusic and the only one I found that is based on piped account instead of YT.
I’m guessing you also don’t use aurora store. If you did you’d see the majority of all the apps mentioned in internet web searches all have ads and trackers. That’s why none of the web results worked for me. As you’ll see none of the web searches mention TorrServe. They’re not accurate.
Details were left out. I’ve actually been working on a del googling project for two months. Off and on I’ve looked for open source, free streaming. My time has been split between working on anonymity and security for doing journalism work. So I’d say the four or five times, probably more, I looked into streaming over those two months was about half an hour or so, I wouldn’t find what I was after and I’d get back to more serious stuff. The last two days were the same. Turns out I had the app the entire time. TorrServe Matrix off F-Droid. I mistook it as a torrent downloader. But when I looked the past few days, I more so worked on music streaming, it just turned up apps that all had trackers on them on the play store. I couldn’t find anything on F-Droid because I already had it. I left all these details out on my OP.
Bless you and thank you!!! Getting it now. I’m also working with TorrServe Matrix now.
I’m looking at TorrServe now.
Okay I see where you’re coming from and how I left out some big details that would have helped. Yeah I researched for a while now and everything charges or has trackers built into the app. Like Stremio. What I was looking for I found. TorrServe Matrix off F Droid with the torrent search app. I was after something open source with no trackers built into the app.
Yeah that bothers me that it isn’t giving back to the torrent itself. Just leeching to stream.
Yes I did. For several days. So I decided to asks here for different answers from people who are privacy and open source focused. Why even make a comment like this?
Thank you! Looks like Quasar with Kodi is the way! I was looking for Android but desktop is also good!
Stremio I saw. But it didn’t look open source and it had trackers listed on the aurora store. I’ll check it out.
Just search Migu on F-Droid/Droidify. The URL link box went away when I added the photo. I’m on thunder which is a very new app and still adding features.
F-Droid feels like an app store. Which it is and damn good at. Accressenct feels like a necessary toolbox that comes along with a fresh Graphene install. It doesn’t feel the same as an app store.
