If you really need to use discord, use the flatpak version or better yet, use Vesktop.

Cossty@lemmy.worldto pics@lemmy.world•A woman watches her husband and child bathe on the beach6·1 month agoIt’s really interesting. In a real life they want the picture above, and in video games they want every woman to be a model and showing as much skin as possible.

Cossty@lemmy.worldto Fediverse@lemmy.world•What is your favorite Fediverse platform?English10·8 months agoI really wanted to like bookwyrm and use it but it’s just so bare bones. Instead, I switched from goodreads to StoryGraph like two years ago. I really like some of its features like content warnings, moods, very detailed stats of my reading habits, etc.
True. I started to pray to GabeN recently too.
I switched to Linux around 2019, I thought dxvk was a lot older. How did games run in wine without dxvk?
Cossty@lemmy.worldOPto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•I need help with my first home server. Permission/ownership and samba issues.English1·1 year agoThx this sounds like the best solution. Definitely trying it out. Idk how well I will be able to do it, Because I didn’t even made those containers myself. I just used proxmox helper scripts. Something came up today and I didn’t have time again, will try it tomorrow.
Cossty@lemmy.worldOPto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•I need help with my first home server. Permission/ownership and samba issues.English1·1 year agoOk, that doesn’t sound hard. I hope there are no more unforeseeable problems. When I create the new user in containers, should I create the same user in proxmox host and change ownership of the hdd, and all existing files in it, to it? Probably yes, right? Don’t have time today again, will try it tomorrow after work.
Cossty@lemmy.worldOPto Selfhosted@lemmy.world•I need help with my first home server. Permission/ownership and samba issues.English1·1 year agoThx for providing some alternative. I think I will still try to first make it work with mount points and local users. But I appreciate your post and will keep it in mind if I need to use it later.
That’s cool I guess, but how much do you want to bet he will die on some mountain and not in his bed?
Cossty@lemmy.worldto Open Source@lemmy.ml•Proton Pass open source password manager is now available on F-Droid11·1 year agoI was just about to write this… Proton is cool, but I only use mail from them. All my other services are independent from each other, and soon I will be self hosting most of them.
I currently have around 170 tabs open…
Cossty@lemmy.worldOPto linuxmemes@lemmy.world•Guys, it looks like nvidia has another faithful fan...2·1 year agoI have nvidia gpu, but more and more I am playing on my steam deck. Even though games have lower awg fps, they feel a lot smoother and frametime graph is a clean line. On my nvidia gpu, frametime graph is like noise visualizer for rock song. When next amd series comes out I will probably buy 8800 or maybe I will even wait for 9k series. I am in no rush.
Cossty@lemmy.worldOPto linuxmemes@lemmy.world•Guys, it looks like nvidia has another faithful fan...3·1 year agoI mean… If after whole day of troubleshooting and googling it didnt help to fix the problem on 2 distributions, then I don’t think the problem is with them. I had my fair share of nvidia shenanigans with nvidia over the years. When I couldn’t fix it or didnt didn’t want to deal with it I just switched distro until it worked.
Cossty@lemmy.worldOPto linuxmemes@lemmy.world•Guys, it looks like nvidia has another faithful fan...6·1 year agoI have 1060, I bought it when it came out. Three years after that I completeny switched to Linux. There were some problems with it on rolling distributions. And I still cant figure out hardware acceleration in Firefox. It either doesn’t work or it is baraly noticable from software acceleration. I still have a lot of skipped frames.
This acually worked. It was basically fresh install, so I reinstalled it again without checking automatic login, just to be sure. Now WiFi works as expected without dealing with the wallet. Thank you. Now when I think about it, this was probably first time I checked automatic login for anything outside of VM, that is probably why I haven’t seen it before.
When people want to automatically login I doubt they want to unlock the wallet every time. This seems stupid.
OK thx I will try it later, making food right now
I created root password, but checked to log in automatically.
If pewdiepie is one of the most deplorable people in the world you know of. You must live in some kind of alternative universe and in paradise.
