Beautiful doxies. I have 3, they’re such amazing creatures.
The scene with the wounds on his hands, something like:
“does it hurt?”
“Not really”
Pours salt in wounds “Does it now?”
“No”
Breaks thermometer into the wounds “how about now?”
“A little”
“Aww! Poor baby!” Bandages wounds
That scene has played on a loop in the back of my brain for decades. It’s fucking hilarious. That and when the evil master reveals his name is Betty, and plays Big Butts. I loved that movie before I started smoking weed, and I loved it even more the first time I watched it stoned.
I started using Linux in 2008. A friend of mine on an old forum showed me wubi and helped me get set up. When he went AWOL and stopped posting, I went on some Ubuntu forum and asked for help with a problem I was having (WiFi had stopped working randomly). Those people tore me apart and spit on my bloodied corpse. It was brutal. Apparently, I was a disgusting moron for using wubi instead of replacing windows (on my netbook with no disc drive) entirely. It was insane. I’ve since discovered that I’d just found a particularly toxic group by chance, and that most of the community is actually very kind. But at the time, it was genuinely hurtful. I not only stopped asking for help for a long time, I stopped learning about Linux and computers in general because I felt like it was something I’d never understand, I was clearly too stupid to get it.
Question. I am a computer dumb. Is this scary for me? Lol.
I save posts to check them the next day for this reason. Sorting by new gets boring pretty quick :/
I want a 3d printer so badly. I don’t have the money for it, or the set up where I currently live to have one. But I’m supposed to be moving soon, and I want to start saving for one. I’m a crafty/DIY(read: jury rig) person by nature. I love fixing shit, making shit, and creatively solving problems. If I had more money, I’m pretty much the exact target audience for a 3d printer. Lol
My mom was raised down the street from there, my dad not far away. Funny to randomly see it on Lemmy.
It Is genuinely good interenetting. Solid 5/7, perfect score.
That sounds pretty good, actually. Another I really like is ramen, cooked and drained, and homemade pimento cheese and fresh tomatoes. OMG, so good. Ramen is also excellent with poached eggs and sausage with cheese. It’s an all purpose carb.
Try it first, then report back. If you despise it, I’ll willingly give it up.
It’s fantastic. For extra good good add some cayenne and really double down on the curry. OMG.
Y’know, I genuinely thought I was gonna be the weirdest one here, but now I’m not so sure. There’s at least competition.
My two favorite foods:
“Tuna” casserole that is refrigerator cold. Tuna in quotes because I rarely ever actually add the tuna. It’s just egg noodles, cheese, cream of mushroom soup, normally with broccoli or peas in it.
Ramen Noodle Garbage Bowl: ramen noodles, drained, with cheese, mustard, curry, smoked paprika, blackened kielbasa/smoked sausage, and diced fresh tomatoes or halved cherry tomatoes. Often has other random ingredients. Add just enough boiling water to get everything to mix well.
Are you asking how to express this information in a utilitarian way, as in, how do you convey the information to be understood? Or are you asking how to express it in a poetic way? The use of thither makes me think you’re hoping to express this is a jokingly poetic sense.
It’s a hobby more than an anything else.
It’s less “everyone gets in” and more that finite crimes do not deserve infinite punishment. Universalists tend to believe that we will, with few if any exceptions, all be reunified with God. Immortal souls being punished endlessly is less than a loving concept, when any sins/crimes they committed were by nature not infinite or endless themselves. Advaita vedanta has a similar concept, as well as other branches of Hinduism such as kashmiri shaivism. Lots of religions have a concept of universal salvation or reconciliation.
Hello fellow universalist!
That’s assuming that for right now. What if it went on for another billion years or so. What of all the humans descendants?
So I’m what one might call a basic user. Mainly browser based tasks. I can use the terminal, but I don’t have really much of anything memorized. Imagine giving a desktop running Fedora to your great aunt, not that one, the other one, who’s constantly smoking and sexually harasses the busboys when they come to clean away the ashtrays. That one. That’s my level of Linux proficiency.
Are any of these things I might be able to do? I would genuinely love to help, but I use FOSS for philosophical reasons, not because I understand the techy stuff. If it’s doable at my level (or an achievable level), I’m eager.
I thought so! When I saw this my first thought was “wait, isn’t that the one I used to use several years ago?”
Yeah, it is. Ended up not being compatible on a new phone is why I switched, I think…forgot about it after.
