Really only SSH and sudo broke. sudo would still work but you’d have to re-enter your password every time. It was a painful experience and I’m glad I know better now.
Once had a friend run
sudo chmod -R 777 /on a (public) Minecraft server we were running back in highschool. It made me die a bit on the inside.

I’ve never had that happen with my 8 Pro. I’d assume that means it’s not air tight, so you might want to at least open a ticket with Google for it.

6·5 months agoWithin the past 2-3 years drive manufacturers have been swapping to USB PCBs directly attached to the drive controller, instead of using a SATA -> USB interface.

5·7 months agoI just use rEFInd with auto discover turned on. I installed the windows bootloader onto my Linux boot partition and haven’t had any issues with Windows overwriting my boot entries on update.

Why not just use DKMS?
Android 12 is when they merged code bases with their parent company’s OS, ColorOS. That’s also the time I decided to move to Pixel as OnePlus was slowly getting worse.
Or mount it as an NFS share if it gives you the option
8·1 year agoYou can just create an empty calibre library using the desktop app and then import everything from the web UI.
It’s a download client that can pause/Resume downloads, as well as use multiple connections to download files
