Same here, it’s the reason why I kicked Ubuntu off my laptop. They removed any way to choose and made it such a pain to get around the Snap bullshit. I’m on Linux because I want to choose what I do with my system.

Microsoft is the “Linux salesman of the year” because most people switching to Linux do it just because Windows has become so terrible.

Reddit just feels like Facebook these days. Niche subs are not affected as much, but the vast majority is just low quality trash, gossip, selfies and unhinged political discussion.

When people say they want Lemmy to become the new reddit, they are not talking about the reddit of today, more like the one from <2015.

I hated Windows 8 enough to put up with it at the time. It’s nuts how much things have improved since then.

Ich würde den Betreibern dererlei Seiten mal unterstellen, dass sie sich nicht unbedingt an die Impressumspflicht halten, da diese ohnehin schwer durchsetzbar ist.

Not sure about this specific model, but in older cars things like this are almost always caused by either too high or too low resistance in the wiring harness or headlight assembly itself because that’s how the car detects when a light is out.

This is less about the instance as a whole. The !worldnews@lemmy.ml mods are notoriously terrible. It’s best to just avoid the community altogether.

I’m pretty sure a lot of the mods here on Lemmy are just former moderators from reddit that were fed up with the site (me included).

Also mit dem alten Mainboard funktioniert es ja immer noch. Das hab ich jetzt wieder drin und auch bei GPU und CPU unter 100% Auslastung ist da alles stabil und alle USB-Geräte funktionieren einwandfrei.

Naja das ist ein ATX Board, das sollte wohl eine Maus und eine Tastatur abkönnen…?

Same here, at least so I thought until I started distro-hopping out of curiosity. And I learned that there are a ton of Nvidia specific problems on a lot of different distributions. I guess I just got lucky with my main setup that I’ve been using since around the same time.

I’m on Neon User Edition and 6.0.0 is the latest version. I’m currently running 6.5.0-25-generic.

Das stimmt, für mich war 60-80 aber immer Generation CDU. So ziemlich jeder den ich in der Altersgruppe kenne, ist (oder war) CDU-Wähler.

Überrascht mich ehrlich gesagt, dass es drüber nicht noch höher ist.
