Something like this. Not springy but rigid. They sometimes come in a set of increasing heights so you can train your jumping height/endurance/speed/etc. A great thing to have if he’s at all interested in track and field, basketball, skateboarding, parkour, or really any sport that involves jumping.

I used to have a blast working on my jumping when I was in high school. It’s a crazy good workout and feels good to progress in I think.

I know you can get them at Walmarts and Dick’s if those exist where you are but they’re sold many places I’m sure.

I was just thinking about this because I’ve been going through and blocking every political community. I’ve found that when that is gone, there’s really not that much left aside from random technology focused stuff, some memes, asinine twitter screenshots, and a fuck ton of linux stuff. And the comments sections of seemingly unrelated posts often devolve into political shit slinging. I’m on an instance that blocks lemmygrad and hexbear so I can imagine it’s far worse for the ones that don’t. I’m starting to sour on lemmy too because there’s basically nothing here of interest to me anymore.

Only one I ever use is the meta AI built into messenger because my friends and I can have it make silly and often extremely cursed pictures that make us laugh

but then you have to do itemized deductions which takes forever and unless you’re mister moneybags or in an unconventional life situation, the standard deduction is almost definitely better. also tax write offs are not free money, you still gave the money to some sketchy “charity” it’s just the government doesn’t get a slice of that.

guy was making threats, demanding to know the full name and address of anyone he talked to, etc. this was a call center job that tolerated verbal abuse of staff and expected us to take it with a smile. it was company policy to not punish customers for verbal abuse and we were not allowed to shut it down. this guy was apparently considered enough of a problem that he was banned from all stores owned by corporate, which I had never seen happen before or after.

wish I could remember. all my best epiphanies go faster than I can even write them down.
