If you don’t care about the newest Android features, it doesn’t matter much.
As for security, this is just my habit, but I don’t trust my banking apps on phones that don’t have the latest security update. I also won’t put anything important in it like work stuff.
I have older phones and they work fine without updates. I still use my stock Pixel 2, which is 7 years old and didn’t have updates for 4 years, for browsing and gaming.
I also forgot:
I’m sure there are more I’m forgetting.
If you have any questions about Modes and Routines that you can’t find the answer to online, let me know. I’ll test it out on my S24+.
Black Friday and the Holiday season is coming up. You might be able to get as s24 for a little bit more but this does take patience.
The upgrade for the s23 to the s24 isn’t really that great hardware wise but if OS updates and security updates matter to you, the s23’s security updates stops in 3 years while the s24 stops in 6 years. Note, the phone will still work after that time but it just won’t get updates anymore. To me that’s worth an extra couple hundred bucks. I don’t like switching phones.
Both phones have extra dim. They also both have a bunch of other visual features too. I’ll list them out:
On top of these, you can set Modes and Routines if you want to have a different set of settings so you don’t have to fumble through all the setting again. Like let’s say you want Light mode, change the brightness, screen resolution and change the font size. You can set that to one custom Mode.
Yeah, seems like this is what some people are using. They said you can use Tasker to run it in the background.
So is this the same as installing on the desktop? Run the service and then http to home to configure?
Not definite but there should be as sticker or text printed underneath.
Before I install Linux on anything, I would Google to see if anyone else did it. It takes out a lot of guessing work and headaches.
Getting the exact product number would be really helpful. There’s like 8 versions of the normal one by itself.
You seem to be doing everything right including software wise. I would try to see if the card is dead. If you can rule that out, then you can continue trouble shooting. I am just trying to rule out simple answers.
Do you have another NIC? Maybe the card died?
Samsung never completed any of their software updates?
sweethome3d is specifically made for interior design.
You can make what ever you want in SketchUp.
2 headphone jacks, SD card expansion, USB-C, a micro USB port and removable battery.
Sounds overkill but sounds great to me.
i really don’t know how they would make other apps work with this though.
Interesting to see if this design is better for one handed operations though.
Email is message exchange with a person or group of people. They can reply at any time.
IRC is a chatroom. You go to it when you want to chat. A lot of software have support channels. You probably don’t know most of these people. Unless you are saving them somehow, you don’t have a history of the chat room.
I’ve never used Matrix but it’s a instant messaging protocol that allows voice and video.
One of the first major problems took place with Android 10, as it restricted navigation gestures to stock launchers.
Note in 2019 in the beta release of Android 10, Google took away swipe gesture navigation and forced third party launchers to use the older 3 button navigation.
Moon Readers cloud sync is amazing if you read from multiple devices. I think they recently added book syncing too.
Thanks for the info.

I am definitely not trying to defend the manufacturers here, only point out that there are solutions for those like myself who want to continue using their wired headphones with newer phones.
Understood.
I agree with you with the SD card too. That one probably annoys me more. It made everything so much more difficult. Transferring files, backups, swapping out music, seeing pictures from a camera or drone… Made the device less like a computer in everyway.
