Why does it matter? If they don’t think something is a bot, how could they be less likely to reply if it’s a bot?

No, not really. It just depends. One of the first things I blocked on Lemmy years ago was the “Lemmit” not which just copied tons of posts verbatim from Reddit. If bots are posting articles, maybe I comment. If a bot posts something discussion oriented, I’m not replying.
Huge caveat, all this is about transparent bots. If I think something is a bit masquerading as a human I don’t reply.

No, only top level comments specifically.

I hate communities that are hyper strict about pointless things about that. The post volume is rarely enough to justify that level of filtering. Besides, hardware is definitely related to self hosting.

One thing I see a lot of instance specific meta communities that only allow top level comments from users if that instance. Auto removing those form other instances would be useful.

No, it’s impossible. The tech just isn’t there yet. We need AGI to be able to detect a string.

Yeah I can type quick now because of video games. My form is shot though but it works. I never use my left index finger. No idea why. (When playing shooters I still use it for D though I’m WASD.)

Someone else do Scott Manley.

My current house. The problem is moreso about distance to friends and family than money and visa.

I got 42 trick or treaters.

By ship! Watch out for mooses.

I don’t see how that’s hard to believe.

They’re doing Scott the Woz, you’re doing Tom Scott.

They were talking about using history books as a way to enter into the current time period and simulate what would happen in the future based on things you can do now. It wasn’t about changing the past at all.

They never said that, reread the comment.

Someone told me you can do apt upgrade --update to do both in one go but I haven’t verified this.

I’m launching a Windows program through wine because I don’t know how the make the desktop shortcut do it, so I use the terminal.
Increasing costs or a limited amount of them are dumb in my opinion. Especially when so many games explain the specifics of their mechanics so poorly and at times downright incorrectly.
