I wish I new how to easily install an AUR package manager when I first started.
Step 1: go to the AUR and choose a package manager. I recommend paru, but there are plenty of others.
Step 2: install git using pacman
sudo pacman -S git
Step 3: copy the git clone URL for paru and pull it
git clone https://aur.archlinux.org/paru.git
Step 4: CD into the new directory
cd paru
Step 5: install paru
makepkg -si
Now when you find a package from the AUR you want, you can easily install it.
paru -S [package]
Also, when you update your system, you only need to run paru -Syu
. You don’t need to run both pacman -Syu
and paru -Syu
.
Why won’t a disclaimer cut it? I didn’t know that FUTO intentionally misconstrued the term open-source until now. What else am I supposed to do than admit I was wrong and correct my comment?

What has helped me convince my friends is to mention the features and not mention the privacy. Most people care about features and convenience but don’t care at all about privacy. When I’m trying to convince my friends to switch to Signal, I usually say something along the lines of “it’s like iMessage for Android” and give a small demonstration of the features.
I do several things in conjunction.
I plan when I need to go sleep using either sleepyti.me or wakeupti.me and set my alarms accordingly. Setting your alarm to align with your sleep patterns makes the act of waking up much easier.
I set my phone on my desk away from my bed. The reasoning is two-fold; it forces me to get up and out of bed to dismiss my alarm(This works extra well if you make it a habit to get dressed as soon as you’re out of bed.), and it prevents me from laying in bed while playing on my phone.
I wake up at the same time every day. Consistency is paramount managing sleep.
I only sleep in my bed. I don’t do anything else. This builds an association to automatically get sleepy when you get in bed because the only thing you in bed is sleep. Your brain knows what to expect and just does it. Sort of like how some guys get excited when they see their girlfriend tie her into a ponytail.
Automatic watches and grandfather clocks. The way they kept track of time using only mechanical principles is crazy. How does my automatic watch recharge itself using only the movement from wearing it and keep accurate track of time. Grandfather clocks are cool because they’re so power efficient.
I had to think of questions to these answers after they were asked. The only things that I already knew were it was a red stress ball and that it was a cheaply made wooden table. I imagined that the ball simply began rolling towards the edge of the table. The person was amorphous at best.
I don’t think I have aphantasia, but I do think I have a weak imagination. When I try to conjure an object or place, it’s always like I’m peering through a keyhole. Like an image with too much vignette. The objects are usually non-descript and are more like concepts than things.
You are correct. While they are technically window awnings, they are mostly for aesthetic purposes. You are also right about the other picture being of the same architecture. It’s the same building just from the opposite side.
