I have an old laptop with a Transmeta Crusoe CPU. Can anyone recommend a distro that will work on it? I’ll download this one and give it a shot too.

We now pull the toys from the pups once they’ve become small enough to be swallowed. We’ve had one or two ER visits for that.
Somewhat curious how CZ has never worked for you. I’ve used it for years and any failures it has had were fixed with tweaking some of the options. I love the tool myself, but I have also never heard of Rescuezilla so thanks for that. I think I’ll give that a go next time.
I just wanted to acknowledge your usage of the TLDR here. I just about could not be bothered to read your three sentences, but the alluring, quite interesting and enthralling TLDR hooked me in an instance and there I was reading your diatribe, absorbing and riding high on each and every word! It was altogether glorious, so I am extending this laurel and hearty handshake to you in appreciation!
TLDR: thanks
They were olde by the time I got to administer them and they were failing every so often. They were a pain to work with as I recall, but again no lost data. They would beep with no issues sometimes. One thing that wasn’t their fault was a previous admin had set them up in threes with all but one disk in a raid5 array. They were wondering why performance was crap and one array would just drop every week like clockwork.
Took a while, but I mirrored (VVM) the data off on spare 3500s set up properly. They ran okay then. It was just ancient storage. Glad to work on netapps now. So much smoother and sophisticated storage compared to the olden days. lol

Solid post. These guys get “warrior” training. Like they are embedded with the enemy. When you set the general tone like that, common folk are at a disadvantage right out of the gate.
Be respectful and polite and try to escape the situation with as little impact as possible.
Oh, hey…! It’s a rodent of unusual size!!
We had one die at seven. He was a good boi and we were heartbroken. Our PITA Dane lived till 11. She was a pain right up when we had to take her in. In the parking lot she wanted to fight rando dogs. Lol, give it up, girl. You can’t hardly move!
We had one with medical issue and he died at three. He was a wonderful tempered dog and it was tragic. They are heartbreak dogs with those short lifespans, but they also are very cool dogs during their prime. We said no more Danes, but here we are again with two.
That’d be a Harlequin. We have two Danes at the moment (black and brown, not Harlequins) and have had several. We love the breed, but they don’t live as long as we’d like.
Very cute, but I need a banana for scale.
Hey I’ve swam naked in that fountain!
This seemed very emblematic of America herself. I initially thought this was a painting depicting that very thing. Seeing it is real, I find life again being ironically quite descriptive of its current plight.
Well, I may have to go check it out meow.
Ayyy…that’s the film that came to mind straight away of one I’d love to forget. Such a messed up story.
For those that haven’t seen it, the film is technically excellent. Nothing wrong at all there. The tale it tells is quite unnerving.
I have heard that Ghostery was sponsored by the ad industry to collect data. Been a while though.
Try ublock matrix for an alternative.
Aren’t women’s trousers well-known for not having pockets? Not happening there!
Yes, and one of the reasons I want to keep it going. It’s an old Fujitsu and has a cool form factor (another reason). I recycled about a dozen laptops a few months back, but could not bear to see this one go. It came with XP, but I don’t care to reload that at all. Am also downloading older versions of Slack to see if they’ll work.
