It’s not like I hate other operating systems, I just really like the idea of FOSS and try to use it whenever possible.

I think most humans have a certain desire to gossip, probably a side effect of us being social animals. I can imagine that gossiping can be somewhat beneficial if you live in a tribe or small town.
With our way of life shifting to large cities in which you hardly know your neighbour, and digitalization making sure we regularly see these celebrities, I can see how that might trick our brains into caring about their everyday lives.
“Vamos a la playa” by Righeira is about a nuclear catastrophe, but if you don’t speak spanish, you are likely to assume it’s just a good vibes summer song about going to the beach.
Neither, we just tend to look at the past with rose-colored glasses, forgetting how shitty things have always been.
I have certainly put a lot of time into things without achieving the outcome I initially hoped for. I don’t think any of that was pointless though. All these experiences made me who I am today, each girlfriend or job that didn’t end up working out made me learn something about myself, each failed project taught me something, if only to be patient and deal with frustration.
I try to think that life is all about the journey, and not always arriving where you set out to go is what really makes it interesting.
Here’s someone who’s been blind since birth talking about it: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpUW9pm9wxs
Lel, of course they dream. Whether they see stuff in their dreams likely depends on whether they they never had sight in the first place, or lost it at some point in their lives.
I feel like the term “Incel” has developed somewhat. I guess in the beginning it was used by men struggeling to get into a relationship to refer to themselves. It was used to find others with the same issues, and form a kind of self help group that could provide comfort and maybe even inprovement. If thats what incels were today, they wouldn’t be hated like that. Perhaps they would be belittled or made fun of.
But that’s not what we understand incels to be today. Incels now seem to be extremely bitter, delusional, pathetic individuals. They don’t recognize the issue lies with themselves, instead it’s supposedly the fault of the women, who won’t accept their place in society. In the mind of an incel, they deserve to have sex, and that means that it should be a woman’s duty to please them.
So no, you are probably not an incel, even if perhaps you would have been under the original definition.
Wenn Du ganz lieb bei ner Tankstelle fragst lassen die dich vielleicht eine benutzen.
For me, other factors are much more important than the salary.
A tedious job with unpleasant colleagues would never make me happy, no matter how high the salary. On the other hand, if I had a job that was fun and had nice colleagues, I would be happy with a salary that only covered the essentials.
Also, I would rather have a salary that only covers the essentials for 30 hours a week than a salary twice as high for 60 hours a week. What good is money if I can never spend it?
There are more factors that are more important to me than the salary. How much physical labor is involved in the job? Do I have to work at night? Do I work shifts or do I have flexible working hours? Does the employer offer a pension plan? Are there any other benefits? Where would I have to work, close to friends and family or far away? …
Yeah, there really isn’t just one threshold value that would make me happy. More is better of course, but there are too many other factors.
Though it’s probably worth mentioning that I don’t have any children and don’t plan on having any.
All wares whose demand increases disproportionally with an increasing income.
Bread for example is not a luxury. If you were to earn twice as much, you wouldn’t buy much more bread than you already do. The same isn’t true for jewelry for example.
There are apps that can automatically track in- and outgoing payments for your account, as well as classify them to give you an overview. I use Finanzguru, though I suspect that’s only available in Germany.
If you’re struggling with money, here’s my approach: If it isn’t absolutely necessary to have, sleep on it at least once before buying it, no matter how cheap it is. Works quite well, its weird how much your perspective can often change within a day.

Depends if other people could tell, or if it was just my genitals that changed.
I do, because this way I can sometimes find hidden gems that wouldn’t be shown otherwise
I like to look at who owns a news source and which country it is operating in to get an idea how reliable it might be.
It is also worth looking at the rethoric: do the headlines seem clickbaity? Do the articles cover more than one side to a story?
I also look at the kinds of stories a news source covers, and whether it seems like they push some sort of agenda from the things they choose to report on.
But yeah, I have come to find a bunch of sources I trust, and that I go to for news.
