I wouldn’t say GenAI caused that problem, I’d say it was advertising practices and the structure of key words prioritizing responses in search engines.

Note to self, if I ever need someone to rely on, or confide in during a time of hardship, don’t talk to Steve or anyone who may ever talk to Steve. Why should a hardship need to be private, unless you look down on them?
No one uses it as a contraceptive. Look up how the procedure takes place, the impacts on their lives and even just the cost. No one would put themselves through that by choice over actual alternatives. It’s just crazies spewing that filth tryjng to get people to look down on women and shame them when they are vulnerable.
Anyone who spews such nonsense is just vile. If someone chose to use it would mean there was a failure in parents, failure in educators, abusers in their life, and likely they need help. Not someone to put them down.
Windows E opens windows Explorer, I used that all the time for work, I use the keyboard more than the mouse.
Bank: 24 miles / 38.6km Grocery store: 4 miles / 6.4 km Work: 50 miles / 70km Parents house: 703 miles / 1131 km
I need to move closer for work, but couldn’t afford it do to dumb choices for a bit there.
They really sealed the deal
It doesn’t bother me either but I’m a glutton, so I immediately pivoted to foods I enjoyed but the torture was just that I was able to hear/watch them enjoy something I really wanted to share.
Yeah, the location data wouldn’t function right as you said. They wouldn’t know you were at the store on 5th Street if the app is running on a machine at home I suppose. Could always manually search it.
Not your fault we are in that situation. Hope your life comes into many a cheap watermelon.
Yeah that might be a good way of doing it, maybe someone else will pop in saying theyve tried one of them, I should have probably asked this on no stupid questions. I figure someone has already done it before so maybe they’ll throw some insight about what to avoid. Thanks for the input!
If you want to get deals for the grocery store you need their app, cheaper deals for pizza, have to open the dominos/Pizza Hut app, I rarely go to Taco Bell, Starbucks, McDonald’s, Burger King, Wendy’s, etc but they all want you to use their app to get access to their coupons and order things. Maybe their points all add up on their websites, would just have to save all the logins in a password manager. Kroger comes to mind because they now use in store prices, price with Kroger card, and price with coupon from mobile app. It’s crazy that that is allowed, but if they are going to charge 3.99 for a watermelon if you have the mobile app, and 6.99 regular, unfortunately I will cave and install the app.
Edit: seeing a product for sale with 3 prices listed below it is mildly infuriating
Many sports are like that already. The NFL and NBA are not segregated by gender/sex, anyone can play. The WNBA exists and is supplemented by the NBA because women never make it through the tryouts/cuts. Same goes for the NFL, but they didn’t make a WNFL.
Can you tell me how to say that differently? If people from America are Americans, people who believe in Catholicism are Catholics, people who believe in MAGA are what exactly? It isn’t Republican, because they are a subgroup, like Jacobites. It isn’t to dehumanize them, it is just what they would be called from what I would expect.
Maggots has a different spelling, which is what i know you are referring to, but maybe they should have choose a different name/slogan to go under
Humans haven’t found it yet, that happens in 2115.
All opinion really. Some people like quiet, some people like music, some people hate genres of music. If someone went to relax and listen to the crickets/nature laying under the stars and all they hear is Luke Bryan, I imagine they may be saddened by it. I personally like socializing with others when camping so it wouldn’t bother me.
It’s been what, 10 years? It wasn’t AI that jumped up the prices, before it was crypto, After this it will be something else.
I always hated getting up, so I shower before bed and it feels cleaner in bed and helps me sleep, skip breakfast but I usually have energy by the time I get to work. Mostly skip caffeine in the morning because I worry I’ll be to wired for people.
I eat breakfast on average about once a month, maybe fewer. So long as I eat once a day, I’m fine. I have about 2 days a month where I eat a lot, but I am never underweight by any means so I never really focused on changing it. Cooking 3 times a day is to much work to me.
And here I thought someone was just going to say they all suck. My brain is just wired for terrible jokes…
Agreed, the more I’ve thought about it I keep coming back to it being safer with all users knowing the data is easily accessible by everyone else. That will prevent users from situations as well where maybe they upvote something NSFW/controversial thinking what does it matter if they didn’t comment so no one would know it was them. Some time in the future someone may start aggregating the data to use to kink shame / call out people or such.
That thought process would say patent law was incorrect though right? If you break something down to parts and say, well all those parts exist on their own, you just reordered them so you never created anything new. A fun case people refer to was against Ford I believe, when they tried to steal the intermittent windshield wiper idea from someone by claiming that resistors already existed, it was just placed elsewhere, so he couldn’t claim it as a new invention. Ford lost and had to pay to use the idea.
I see it as the same premise. All programming and language breaks down to words that already exist, so either rearranging them and using them in a new manner is a new work, or none of it is. Thereby saying all books, music, and code wouldn’t be able to have copyrights or patents. Which I believe that would cause a bit of chaos.
