Did you try KISS launcher? If yes, what did you like more about Kvaesitso that you use it instead?

You can get Aurora store from fdroid which lets you download apps without having a google account.
Wasn’t it a derogatory term for asian car tuners at first before being used for the linux stuff?
Funnily the ampersand in your example isn’t shown correctly on my end.
I am a grumpy young sod who hates change!
Yes, but most aren’t able to be used like a laptop/desktop PC. You can’t install any software from outside the official repository on a Xbox or Playstation whereas the Steam Deck is just a handheld laptop with Linux as the OS.
The steam deck is a portable pc that looks like a handheld console.
You ran into a slur filter. The word that gets shown as removed is the one used for bundles of sticks and sometimes can refer to cigarettes in the UK.
One of the worst war criminals in our history that got off entirely scot-free and probably had a happy life until he died at hundred. He is responsible for the deaths of millions and was never prosecuted for it. In a list of people deserving of being executed he would have been on one of the first places.
Where do you live that you have such long days with apparently such a cold weather? In my area we have cuddly 0°C/32°F with the sunset happening at 16:15. I would categorise so cold that it hurts around -20°C depending on the weather.
Linux is also like veganism as in that nonvegans/non linux users get very misunderstood and unnecessarily antagonised, although the second thing happens to vegans more from my experience.
All this talk about asshole vegans really sounds like those “SJW liberal triggered by facts and logic” videos that got popular around 2015ish.
Do you mean being an universal donor (if it is called that in english as well)?
Das is ne Frau, ich kann dir ansonsten aber nur zustimmen. Jetzt tut mir meine Katze leid, die sich den Namen mit diesem Miststück in menschlicher Form teilen muss.
An ex of my mom left an openSUSE shirt behind after they broke up. I recently found it again and tried out tumbleweed out of curiosity. I cant say that I am disappointed by it and it also is very accessible to newbies to linux.
Who the fuck would pay 3.000€ for an iPad? I had to buy one because Apple somehow managed to get an exclusivity contract with the schools of my city but that ‘only’ costed 400€ with the additional option to get financial support if your family can’t pay this much money. If possible I would have used a laptop or at least something other than an iPad but now I have to use it and hate it with my entire being although their glorified Bluetooth was quite nice before they gimped it.
Does it count when I am nonbinary and use openSUSE as my daily driver?
They fucking hate Hitler and fascists and dont see todays russia in a good light. I would agree that hexbear is an echochamber about china but the same is true with reddit or other such sites, only in the other direction, where every single action of china gets seen as something they do because they are evil.
And even then hexbear advocates for left unity, which I can understand although I still dont like left wing authoritarians that much more than right wing auths. But that means that there are some “tankies” on it that do have positive views on the UdSSR and the PRC. And would you want to defederate from pro USA instances as well? Because I cant really see many qualitative differences between the atrocities done by the USA and the PRC.
Where did you see racism from hexbear users? Brigading kinda happens, although it is mostly just them being more vocal than the average lemmy user. And I dont think that I have seen much misinformation on the popular hexbear communities and even then it was mostly just framing of real facts.
You have to sort by all in your home instance if you want to interact with these posts. The all sorting you are using works more like if you werent logged in any account but it should show defederated instances if I understood correctly.
If those people are marginalised why not make organisations that help them get into programming?
When you think about stereotypical programmers, you usually picture a white guy somewhere between 30 and 50 years of age (at least in Europe and I presume the USA). Coding used to be a profession that was predominantly made up of women but when it became clear that it would become an important job more and more men became interested in IT so that now there are about eight male programmers out of ten.
Black people have similar issues (and god forbid you are a black woman) in that they often are paid worse for the same jobs than white people and have worse chances to get good secondary education and academic jobs even if they have the same intelligence as white people. Helping people to get into computer sciences that statistically have way lower chances to do so without any fault of their own is a good thing in my opinion.
