Why a southerner? You aren’t going to flip any Southern seats with them, they are solidly red, excluding Georgia, which you can win without that.
My bigger concern would be the rust belt, a large block of swing states that a West Coast candidate may not resonate with. All of those states are both in play, and at risk. The south only has 1 state in play and much less risk.
Dave the diver was one for me. I watched Francis John play it and it was fun to watch, but I had no interest in playing.
They left it intentionally vague so cases will make it to the supreme Court so the court can decide based on of the president is on their team or not.
Thank you for your service
Sorry, I stopped playing factorio on my work Linux computer. I will play next month to get us back up.
Over the last two decades we have reduced the amount of time spent to get many of the items we need. Since we can now order online from our homes we don’t have to go out and get them, this frees up a reasonable chunk of time.
Also, over the last 50 or so years we have lost many 3rd places. A 3rd place is where you would spend your time that is not work or home. A bar, community center, an arcade…ect. those were a common place to spend time socializing.
Finally, items like reading and watching TV filled a lot of time. From reading the newspaper to getting the local news. Channel surfing was a big thing for a while. You would cycle through channels until you found something you wanted to watch, you could cycle channels for a while before finding something, so that took up a large chunk of time.
Studies find that the vast majority of users on a platform are passive participants, the vast majority only look, a smaller group looks and comments and finally an even smaller group looks, comment and post. The key to growing any community is to find or be an active poster. It’s also an investment, if you post and get only 1 to 2 reactions, that’s okay, it takes time. It also means that more people see it and didn’t react.
In your example the NBA sub, I am on it and comment from time to time, but don’t have the sources or time to post, but if someone took, at least, the links from reddit and posted them here, it’s a start. I know NBA reddit has a lot of good discussions which you can’t replicate here without more people, but the posting of articles and links is a start.
I look forward to meeting 45 year old male Linux nerd and 23 year old femboy Linux nerds.
Peertube and owncast are Fediverse alternatives to twitch. Peertube less so. I run an owncast server and love streaming to it, but discovery is shit. If you just want to stream, it’s great. If you want to make it a job, stick to twitch
Pickles and anything
It really whips the llamas ass.
20-30 is too old for Leo to be concerned with.
A service that provides sheet music. I am learning the piano and I find it difficult to find accurate and reasonable sheet music for much I want to play. Some of it is obscurity, but even when it’s findable, the service is monetized to make it unpleasant
I think Facebook is interesting as it’s such a wide range of apps. From groups, to marketplace to traditional social, it has a lot of potential to be spread across multiple FOSS alternatives
Discord isn’t really applicable to the fediverse but that doesn’t means that FOSS can’t benefit. Are there good alternatives.
Steven Crowder is a despicable human and does not deserve a meme template.
For me, I hate the influencer culture around many of these things. On paper, loops, and the like, are good ideas, but when you fill it with people with MBAs trying to sell you things, it feels fake and goes to shit. My experience so far with the fediverse is that it feels generally organic and I have no reason to believe loops would be any different.
