I got Google to give me a full refund before my 6P bootlooped so I bought a Pixel XL. No Pixels since for me. Oneplus 7T Pro then Zenfone 10.

Be friendlier with my nvidia GPU instead of a diceroll every time there’s an update!
Yup my personal and work machines were fine. That said I’m on W10 on both and once I can’t be on W10 anymore I’m hoping Linux has further matured for my needs so I don’t need W11 onwards. I’m around the Linux communities keeping tabs…!
Honestly the main thing keeping me from going back to Pixel was the chip but by 2025 I’m sure I’ll have other issues with the landscape of mobiles.
I’ve been toying with the idea of getting back into Linux for a while now. While I’m still on W10 I’m not rushing, and haven’t installed a TPM Module so Windows doesn’t force W11 on me yet, but when I have no choice that may push my hand. There’s some stuff I find easier on Windows but Linux has really caught up in the past 20 years and I reckon I could daily it in the coming years.
Anyone who has to use Windows and suffers this, PowerToys is your friend. Locksmith identifies what’s locking your file and allows you to free it up. Dunno why PowerToys isn’t bundled by default tbh.
Grim Fandango, Full Throttle and Normality all have vivid memories in my brain.
Lovely island tbf
I haven’t rooted any phones or flashed roms in years. Please let me know why it’s so taboo to mention Magisk?
Now this would be useful.
Toggles are always welcomed for sure, but personally I am enjoying the new image display performance, they’re looking slick. Great work @rmayayo@lemmy.world
I’ve had 4 system updates so far. Let’s see how long before it slows down.
Also been invited to the Android 14 preview.
Alexander Graham Bell and Thomas Watson are still exchanging goodbyes to this day.
Does a great job! Pixel Power I call it when my phone won’t cut it and I need my wife’s Pixel to jump in lol.
I used to be really impressed with the super macro on my Oneplus 7T Pro. It was exceptional for the time (I opted for it over the Pixel 4XL).
I don’t miss it much on the Zenfone 10. I do miss the telephoto lens though. Mostly the overly blue skies on the Zenfone need balancing, because even with settings toned down it’s beautiful but extremely fake. Gcam resolves somewhat but that has its own issues.
Still, glad to have a compact powerhouse with decent battery and rely on my wife’s Pixel 6 for the realism and quality of pics while we travel.
Interesting but should be baked in.
Even then Nexus and early Pixels I used had pretty meh battery experiences. The highlights now are the cameras but there’s too much AI crap for my liking and Exynos bones put me off. Let’s see what’s about when my Zenfone 10 starts ageing. It’s been a quirky, mildly buggy (mainly Telegram crashes) but otherwise solid experience, with meh cameras vs the Pixel and Samsung offerings. Stabilisation on videos has been solid though thanks to the gimbal.
