My bidet does not shoot at my whole ass. It only laser focuses on certain parts, which I dry with toilet paper.

I’m strongly considering it very soon!
As a social activist and tech worker, my interests bleed into hacking, security, and doing the right thing. During my work with BLM, one of my aliases was targeted by right wing trolls. Easy to dissolve and make a new one. I worked with activists who have had their children targeted, their neighbors targeted, even their jobs threatened.
My friends and family, wife and children do not deserve any backlash for my comments.
Vouching syncthing. Easily synced 2TB files between three computers.
After being outted on Reddit years ago, I made a rule to myself. If I ever become known on a platform (or on Reddit, reach 100000 upvotes), I’d delete my account and start over.
Frankly, some of the shit I’ve said could get me in trouble at work or my real life. So the anonymity is a boon.
If I was counting reddit, this would be my 13th account.
Yes absolutely. There’s a slight shift of tone in regards to journalism. A lot of takes definitely come off more neutered as to not offend a company or lose favor. It’s unfortunate. But then again, I’m not interested in ragebait so it wasn’t a big thing for me. And other sites (and social media) do it already.
They still go into fresh perspectives. Random things like are audio logs a good mechanism for storytelling. Or the best item in Skyrim (which is filled with such cheeky humor to invite friendly arguments)
And some of the newer hires still haven’t found their RPS voice. They’re trying “too hard” to be zany.
I am still looking for a gaming blog that takes gaming mildly seriously. Ones willing to have both AAA games and incredibly tiny indie games on the front page, sprinkled with opinionated posts about their favorite book covers in RPGs, or if highlighted interactive items is good UI.
It’s like a hip version of livejournal
Why do we need another social media site when Myspace exists?
Https://Rockpapershotgun.com is one of the few sites I still visit on a frequent basis. I don’t care about half of their reviews. Their writing and personality is just entertaining and the commenters are fun.
As a developer, I love https://js13kgames.com/. These masters of JS make games that are under 13k, smaller than font file!
This blog has been my late night addiction. https://crpgaddict.blogspot.com/ reviews old PC RPG games like Wizardry and Eye of the Beholder. Theyve been doing it for more than a decade.
The maintenance part crushed me. Most of my other self hosted home setup, I fiddle with at most 2-3 times a year. Next cloud, I logging in at least once a month because something wasn’t working.
Thanks for sharing that. My job set up NextCloud for cloud sharing and I thought it was pretty cool. Tried to set it up at home for sharing on a home network with my family and felt really confused. Every week there was a new problem that I had to solve and ended up going back just network drives and sharing.
How likely are you to recommend Lemmy to a friend or colleague? Give a score from 1 to 10.
You know how when you think about breathing, you start to “think” about breathing? How it moves in and out of the body? And then you learn all other weird things about breathing?
Do you really want to understand ball science? To understand where things move and go around and flex?
Why I’m trying to say is sometimes, ignorance is bliss.
I found it super uncomfortable to answer that in high school.
Then in my 20s, I’d go, “Yeah haha I guess I do.”
And now my 30s, “I jag off twice a day. Three times on a good day!”
And every time, id get the same kinda approved nod.
Either masturbation has become normalized or I just give jerk off vibes.
Actually weird question that Ive been puzzling.
You know those anime girls who try to be obnoxiously cute, where they raise their voice to a high pitch? Then off screen, they’re back to their regular tone?
For people with high pitched voices… Is that a choice?
I’ve always set windows to update around late hours.
But once in a while, Microsoft ignores that and does updates anyways. Usually just a quick min or two. But it’s still annoying.
That’s a way better community! Thanks for the recommendation!
This is it.
The games community in lemmy.world is a bunch of folks advertising their indie game or YouTube stream. Usually a few comments here and there.
The games community on lemmy.ml is a bunch of folks sharing gaming journalism. Pretty active.
In 2020 (?) joined that Google One program where the promise was you pay a monthly fee and every two years, you get a new Pixel phone “for free”. Not the latest, but last gens model. It looked really good on paper.
I’m cheap. I did the math and it cost less to do this than buy used from Swappa. And knowing Google’s awful track record for customer service and killing products, I joined fully aware to keep my expectations low.
After 2 years, I was eligible for an upgrade. And the program changed. It was no longer a monthly fee, but pay $500 for a new phone. And worse, that Google phone died two months after the warranty ended. Google wanted to charge me $300 to repair the phone.
If you buy anything Google, keep your expectations down. Like really down.
The whole Trump presidency was filled with Trump abusing vague powers because when it was written, they assumed that the president wasn’t a asshole.
This new law plus Trump is a cluster fuck.
