Heh, that’s why we refer to other people who don’t geocache as “muggles”.

Pastel de Natas (Portuguese Custard Tarts) at Trader Joe’s in the U.S.
They only have them in the spring and they run out fast.
This sounds like what TOR users run into. Are you always clearing your browsing data/cookies in Firefox? A fairly blank slate there will raise some red flags in a lot of systems causing the captchas to be aggressive.
Otherwise, maybe you just ended up with a bad IP address that was previously being used for suspicious bot looking traffic?
I would definitely submit a ticket to Etsy about this issue, but this is likely an issue with captcha or whatever they’re using to detect “suspicious activity”.
Edit: I just tried logging in to Etsy and it gave me about 4 captchas for signing in with a “new device”.
Looks like google really needs help training their self driving cars.
It really depends on the subject.
If it’s programming/hardware in general then there’s not much debate.
But when it comes to discussing “buzz words” or other hot topic items (cryptocurrency or AI/ML Models) then there will be a lot more debates.
You’re not going to find everything you want outside of YouTube just yet. But apps like GrayJay make it a lot easier to start transitioning to other platforms.
It combines most all of the video sharing platforms in one. From there you can start following creators if they have their channel setup on different platforms while still being able to keep your main home feed coming from YouTube if you wanted to.
Unfortunately I think that ship has sailed.
The meaning of AI has changed drastically within the past 10 years or so.
Back then ‘AI’ was a term reserved for Artificially Intelligent beings like Skynet, HAL, the machines from The Matrix, etc.
Today AI has been watered down to the point that we need to specify what kind of AI we’re referring to.
I’m not sure there’s a way to stop that unless you unleash a swarm of very convincing social media accounts across the internet all run by LLMs with the goal of correcting our current course… that or put them to work writing news articles like this one.
Not only that, your upvotes and downvotes are completely public.
You might not see them through the lens of a Lemmy frontend, but using kbin you can see it.
It’s something I wish I knew before I joined, but it is what it is and I’m getting used to it.
Anyway, take care, and feel free to check-in every year or so to see if the user base has expanded to levels where its a better community. That or check out a different instance of Lemmy where there might be a community that better fits what you’re looking for.
Yes, there are NAS grade SSD’s that can be used.
As long as you use the right kind of SSD, there aren’t any problems with doing this.
I agree with others on here. Looks like a European Starling.
Here’s a similar looking one that was identified in North America:

I would recommend a tool like iNaturalist for trying to identify birds (and plants, insects, other animals, droppings, tracks, etc).
