I did once in college. I lived in the attic of an old Victorian house so three floors up. Old crappy stairs. I loved it. It was only me though and my girlfriend for a bit so not much groceries to carry up.

Sometimes it takes way too long though. I had a display issue that made many of my tiny Linux boxes stop working and it took me almost a month to figure out the issue. I had to revert to an older kernal to fix them all. They just randomly stopped working one day lol. Makes me not want to accept updates so that’s not great

This happened to me once when I updated Android. The bank software had a check for a specific version and my version was higher so it thought I was running something weird. I had to wait for the bank to update the app to support the newest android version

Yeah I am loving all these micro Linux computer options. Not much bigger than a raspberry pi but it’s a full computer. If you need gpio you can hook up an Arduino through USB and connect super easily. The one I have been using even has an integrated video card. All for around $100 and they are always in stock lol.

I have been making interactive dioramas with Linux.

The only place I know in Atlanta that has a waffle house across from another is in Avondale estates where the very first waffle house is located. It’s a museum now that is hardly ever open and across the street is a newer more modern waffle house. I bet you were over there lol.

Christmas was good but things costing more now had me stressing all month. It’s harder to budget now than it used to be.

My view point on this is probably not mainstream but I don’t mind having debt now for vacations. I used to worry so much about debt and I would never go on expensive trips. I would try to save for them but its hard because something always came up. As a result we never went anywhere. I got sick of that and tried getting a credit card for trips and we have gone to a bunch of places and it’s been awesome. I just pay it back the best I can before the next trip. If I were to wait until I had money to go places we would never go and my children would miss out on different cultural experiences. I’m totally ok with debt that makes my children more well rounded people. Also money is just made up. Some people get more than they will ever need when they are first born while others have to struggle for no good reason. Just try to live the best life you can and don’t worry about that shit lol.

Boxes. I love boxes. Like old metal ones or decorative stash boxes. Crazy about boxes. Nice ones though. no cardboard.
