Yep, I checked outta here a while back.
Just a shiny male toy…
Yep, I checked outta here a while back.
… None of us were confused by the saying. You obviously are confused about where you stand cognitively, in comparison.
I wouldn’t have said it was a replacement just yet to non -open source centric folks, personally.
More attention isn’t a bad thing though, sometimes devs need more input to decide what to focus on next.
It’ll at least give you good directions, car/bicycle/walking-optimized based on what you select.
It’ll get there, just needs time.
I’ve used organic for several hikes. What was missing?
No, unfortunately. But maybe soon. I lean on here maps if I need that.
CalyxOS lets me run most safety net stuff, though notably Pokemon go stopped working all of a sudden.
Unknown, I don’t want to run Google apps more than I have to. I only run photos and keyboard, both with network access completely blocked by the built-in firewall.
Late one night, zooming home on my motorcycle on a toll road in California after working late on the job, sun had fully set.
There was a 15ft ladder diagonal on the road across one and a half lanes. I was in the half lane it wasn’t, simply zoomed past. I later called CHP about it, guess it got taken care of, but i doubt I was fast enough to prevent an accident.
I never forget that when it’s dark and the urge to crank it kicks in.
CalyxOS just works, is completely deGoogled and has better battery life because less shit is running by itself in the background. If you need any Google apps, you can install them voluntarily via the Aurora store (a version of the play store that strips serial numbers etc from communications with Google’s play store servers).
All my banking apps and work apps function, though I couldn’t get Pokemon go to work.
Why the hatched ground plane instead of solid?
I’m guessing their head is really dang heavy though. Like I want to try this but for the accidental crunch 😂
I guess you elected not to read the original question. I’m looking for something to support using my phone to access things like the gym and the subway, in a privacy respecting manner. If that’s not possible, I can continue with my regular methods.
Is it good shit or what
Neat.
I… Do? What about the other stuff that uses gPay?
I don’t need it instead of my credit card, but I don’t ride the train often enough to bring the NFC card along. Ideally it’d live on my phone for when I do need it.
The real issue is how tightly integrated with Google pay everything is. I’m simply looking for at least some of the features gpay has without using gpay.
If I could at least use my phone to NFC my gym as well as my train rides, I’d be very happy. Credit card payments, I don’t care as much.
I wanted NFC for payments if that were possible. I also need NFC for things like gym access, where it appears they’re using the NFC system to grant access. Adoption of that process unfortunately uses Google pay.
Want, vs need in a single question.
Lower compression ratios are a common trick to increase longevity and fuel compatibility. You reduce horsepower and fuel efficiency, but gain reliability.
