100% the casting was amazing but it still would be cool to see a version with the real people

I get that they weren’t technically movie stars but it would be so cool to see the real James Hunt and Niki Lauda playing themselves in Rush
All the ice cream vans that show up in my area play The Entertainer, idk if it’s just a local thing or if most ice cream vans in the UK play that one though
I’m in the UK and there’s definitely better cider if you’re willing to pay £5+ for a single bottle but there used to be a really cheap South African cider that was way better than the big UK brands. IDK what happened but you only seem to be able to get it online at a way higher cost now.
I’ve been doing cognitive behavioural therapy to try and sort out my depression and I found that having to stick to an exact time table actually made it worse, instead I’ve just got to try and get one thing done at some point every day and then each week I add another job on untill I’m able to get all of them done like a functioning person.
I’m also supposed to pair it with doing something that I enjoy that gets me out of the house but I keep forgetting to do that bit.
Make sure to keep copies of all the complaint letters you get
Idk none of the donkeys I’ve worked with have been very smart
The Abroad In Japan Podcasts is a really great listen, short but regular episodes and there’s a decent amount of variety in what they talk about
Ngl I’m kinda surprised by how many people use the main feed, when I first joined lemmy I just looked up some communities that I was interested in and set my default feed to subscribed only, the only memes I see regularly are from an RPG meme community.
I was talking about instance level stuff, for example I’m on Lemm.ee but I can still interact with lemmy.world, but yeah there isn’t much difference on the community level other than communities being able to have the same name if they’re on different servers
It’s different from Reddit because if you don’t like the way your instance is moderated you can just use another instance and still see content from another
I recently swapped from apple to android and honestly the apple music app works better on android than it did on my iPhone
Either frontal impact or speedy speed boy
I’m on voyager now but I’ve still got Memmy installed just incase the dev comes back, I prefer the look of Memmy but the functionality is so much better on voyager
Wiggle your mouse a bit before you select something, they check mouse movements and if it’s too precise you fail
If my time working on a zoo taught me anything you’re normally on your own for pretty much your entire day.
Yep just select manga, search for whatever you’re reading and it should show up
Anime planet has a manga / web toon section and you’re able to update whatever you’re reading by the chapter
I was in a discord server with some people who were really hyped about BCI implants especially during the first couple of Neuralink press releases, I still am but we’ve all realised how shitty neuralink is.
The reason why people are pushing for implants instead of things like ECG caps is because a cap A) can’t write data and B) the data that it can read is extremely fuzzy because it has to pass through the skull, I think I heard about some improvements in that second part by using an AI to filter the different types of data but I don’t think it’s that advanced yet.
The first part isn’t too much of an issue but one of the major things it could do would be to allow for people to regain senses that they lost by telling their brain what they should be able to see or hear, and also because everyone in that discord server I was a part of were all weebs we were all obsessed with being able to play games in full VR completely ignoring the whole plot of Sword Art Online.
I’m in the uk too but I’m out in the northern countryside, just to get to the village newsagents is a 15-20 minute walk and it’s about 12 miles to the nearest supermarket. Even in the UK there are places where you have to drive to almost everywhere.
