Does infodumping count?
Being a bodyless head with a freak long tongue is not only okay—it can be an exciting opportunity
Does infodumping count?
This is one of the saddest things to go through- I’m sorry for your loss. Just went through the same a couple weeks ago, and I gotta say, being proactive about the grieving process was a huge help. Everyone grieves differently, but I would recommend prioritizing the process- set aside time for yourself and your feelings every day.

One of best things my partner and I did was make bracelets out of beads that matched the fur and eye colors of our late cat, and it made it feel like her essence was still around with us. Highly recommend.

Without more information, it’s hard to say. Medical conditions like thyroid disorders, or substance use could play a role. Psychologically, those symptoms could be attributed to anxiety or trauma related disorders. You may find it helpful to start by keeping notes about when/where/etc these bouts occur, as there may be underlying patterns that you haven’t noticed yet. I would recommend doing some reading on “emotional flashbacks” and consider whether you relate to what you find
If I ate something in silence, my partner would likely notice something was off immediately. The sound of even my own chewing (mouth closed, ofc) triggers my misophonia
True, that’s how blue eyes became a thing in the first place, I imagine lol
Reminds me of a time I was sitting outside enjoying my high, staring out into the night. Suddenly, a smile appeared directly in my gaze, floating in the darkness- I squinted and noticed the smile belonged to a black man looking back at me, who said “couldn’t see me til I smiled, huh?”
I settled for nonbinary actually lol

When I was about 7/8yrs old, I ended up in an elevator alone with an elderly couple who proceeded to debate with one another whether I was a boy or a girl, while making direct eye contact with me.
The woman argued I must be a girl because of my pretty hair and face, while her husband was sure I must be a boy, given my… outfit and eyebrows? They never bothered to asked me, and I exited the elevator without saying a word to them
Awe, that’s cute! For her to smile and wave back though you must be fairly attractive yourself, even if she didn’t do so unprompted!
My primary hypothesis is the woman somehow thought I flipped her off. Imagining a stranger smiling at me and showing me their middle finger, I might have a similar reaction lol
I’m just sitting here refreshing this thread waiting for more stories, so I’m gonna share another one.
I was talking to a black man with the most gorgeous blue eyes. I complimented him on his eyes, and he asked, genuinely, “you know how I got blue eyes?”, and there’s really only 3 options- 2 mixed parents, or 1 white and 1 mixed, so I took a stab at it and said “you got a white dad?” This man’s eyes went WIDE like I was a damn witch. He got real serious and asked “how’d you know that??” I told him I just guessed, but it was clear he didn’t believe me as he scratched his chin and put some distance between us
This is a great question!
When I was like 17, I was driving (the speed limit, no music playing) through my friend’s neighborhood when I passed a woman out grabbing her mail. I gave a little wave and smiled, and she looked at me like I had just punted a fucking infant.
I felt so offended, and I’ve never forgotten that look on her face- I would love to know what her perspective on this is/was.
I’m tired of helping and educating people about how using “bipolar” to describe things like the weather or a job is problematic

This was a fantastic read. OP I hope you do this (and then tell us about it or post screenshots)
Probably substantially more expensive than gloves, but silicone prosthetic fingers are a thing (which you could glue on to your hands using a SFX adhesive)
I’m guessing you’re a cis man? It would actually be a meaningful change for a lot of women and nonbinary people, even if subconscious.
Personally, I get a little bit annoyed every time I read/hear the general use of “men,” and that would change if we change that one word in the constitution, so not literally nothing
Personally, I think that, when it comes to “important” stuff, having an individual or group whose opinion you trust based on other aligned values is sufficient.
E.g., if you’re not sure how to feel about furries, but you respect the consensus of the queer community, you can look to them to decide how to ensure your actions/words align with your values
This is basically the whole point of electing representatives. It’s not your job to have an opinion on every single thing- we hire people with whom our values (ideally) align, and it becomes their job to have all those opinions
This works similarly in elections. Many people don’t have the time, energy, and/or capacity to sit down and learn about each proposed amendment/etc, so different groups publish their recommendations
