Don’t stop me now
Rocket book has solid OCR. The app is free and there are templates available if you don’t want to use the reusable paper.
My face reading this 😐😀😰
Doing something because you wanted to makes you way more grown up than the clothes.
Your comment made me look at your username and now I regret it.
Well congratulations to the newly minted Dr!
How did it go?!
Even if they don’t make up 1% of Steam’s catalogue (though I doubt that figure), they have had real impact.
It’s ok to not like them personally, but to say no one cares is disingenuous. Balatro doesn’t require much in terms of hardware but is having a real moment right now. Stardew Valley has been killing it for 8 years. People have thousands of hours in Rimworld.
Indie games are also great for community and modders.
Love the smell of pool water!!
Book outlet! They’re based in Thorold Ontario. They don’t have everything but I always check them first.
Scrolling Lemmy instead of reading the book that I’m pretty into. I’ve been staying up too late reading lately, and its not late yet, and so I could read now but inertia is keeping me doomscrolling
I think Segwayed is better because James Heseldon, inventor of the Segway, died after riding a Segway off a cliff.
Edit: apologies! Apparently he didn’t invent the Segway, just owned the company
There’s a free app called Kinnu that has a learning pathway on the subject. You can also read some of the articles for free here: https://kinnu.xyz/kinnuverse/philosophy/ikigai/
Some of the material is based on “The Little Book of Ikigai” by Ken Mogi, if you prefer books.
I would encourage anyone who is interested in this concept to do a little more reading on the concept. Ikigai is a lot more than just fulfillment with employment- which is closer to the concept known as hatarakigai. I appreciate you sharing this meme though- it was how I was first introduced to the concept.
Wow! Female ginger cats are a rarity. I love that she waits for you as soon as you pretend to leave
I’m sorry, that sounds so inconvenient. I’m sorry that a piece of your brain space needs to be assigned to this, and I can imagine it feeling so uncomfortable until you’re able to unspin. That’s awful.
Positive reinforcement of the behaviour you want to see is way way better than punishing behaviour you don’t like. If you consistently redirect bad behaviours, and reward good ones, then you don’t need to be around for the dog to choose the better behaviour.
I get what you were saying and what the other commenter was saying. You’re saying that no knowledge is inherent, all knowledge needs to be learned.
The other commenter was conflating common sense with common knowledge, being knowledge that the majority of people know and can recall (but would still need to be learned at some point from somewhere).
I don’t think you are wrong, and I think the other commenter was trying to say that common knowledge changed over time (true). I hope neither of you let it affect your day too badly.
Welcome to our newest Joker ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
