For me, it was getting WiFi to work in 2023
What goes hard about the kernel panic one?
Came here to say this too
Make sure you dont buy a pixel that was purchased from Verizon. They lock the bootloader to prevent you installing anything else. They’ll refuse to unlock it even if its been paid off
Its a 38 minute drive without tolls and a 33 minute drive with tolls. Ill suffer the 5 minutes to avoid $30 in tolls every month.
I actually live in a more expensive area than where I work, but I do so because the entire state is still somewhat affordable (Kansas) and the city I live in is much more progressive than the one I work in.
Ive been applying to a remote first company I want to work for for about 3 weeks now and ive got 1 failed interview and about 30 reject letters. Can’t complain, ive got a good job now, but I want to go back to remote work
I dont actively watch it, but its hard to avoid. In the Midwest, many TVs are just on fox news 24/7 in public spaces and offices.
Former fox news anchor is going to Russia and presumably thinks he can end the war in Ukraine
I’d say its not getting coverage because Texas talks about seceding almost every year and states have been using their national guard as political tools for years now.
When the national guard was sent to DC after the insurrection, Texas pulled their national guard back because of “poor treatment”. I was there, there was no poor treatment. Texas (and several more states afterwards) used their national guard as a political tool to make the other side seem bad.
The holocost museum in Washington DC. Its a must go for anyone that’s in the area.
Ive never used arch for more than a week, I was an ubuntu user for the longest time before switching to fedora a few months ago. Ive never been happier with an OS. I’m using the KDE spin
Firefox snap doesn’t work with keepassxc browser integration and smart cards randomly, so I uninstalled the default snap on ubuntu, edited configs to make sure it didnt grab snap by default, and then install the deb Firefox.
Every single fucking time I did a distro upgrade, ubuntu uninstalled deb Firefox, rwdis the configs to automatically install snap Firefox, and then reinstalled snap Firefox.
One of the reasons I left windows was because it kept changing my default browser. How is ubuntu any better?
I started my linux journey on ubuntu 11.10. I have some real nostalgia and loyalty to that platform, but I recently gave up on it and switched to fedora because of its relentless self-promotion is snap. I feel like you’d be doing a disservice to recommend it as a gateway into Linux to someone nowadays.
This is a braindead take, I’m done with this community
Mailbox.org > proton. Fite me
Works great for me. I had it running in a snap for awhile, but now I just have it in a proxmox Debian container running a LAMP stack. I have over a terabyte of stuff saved and multiple computers syncing too, so its well used.
Ye
In the US at least, ISPs can force you to use a specific router and software restrict certain functions.
I have AT&T and they do this to me, I just have my own router behind theirs. Might be what OP needs to do.
Proxmox > Debian Container > Apache, MariaDB, PHP is the way
