A middle-aged nerd from the UK. I like films and write about them, sometimes for Film Stories or my blog.
Have a great day.

Thank you, I’ll give that a go.
I don’t think they have their open official app but they offer their API free to developers I think.
I’m on Android and I’ve been through several TMDB apps but I don’t really like any of them. I do know that Letterboxd use their API as well but that’s a more social based thing.
Same program, the developer changed the name. 😊
If you like NewPipe but want your videos to skip the annoying bits, there’s a fork called Tubular that incorporates SponsorBlock.
Having used PowerAmp since Android 1.5, I switched to Musicolet last year and it does the job just as well. It’s not open source but it proudly claims that it has no network permissions, so it cannot send any data anywhere.
Even though I paid for Nova years ago, I went back and downloaded a modded version of 7.0.58, the last version before they were bought out and the code was changed.
I really wanted to like Lawnchair but I always end up back with Nova. It does exactly what I want it to.
I discovered this after giving up on the BBC weather app because it wants me to sign in.
It’s been really good, I love the details and it’s been getting regular updates. Recommended.
I’ll give this one a go. I was on PowerAMP for years ever since I got my first Android phone, a HTC Hero on Android 1.5! Recently I changed to Musicolet. I don’t think it’s open source, but it is privacy focused, as it doesn’t have any features that access a network.
Well, initial impressions were good but on my phone, the toolbar at the bottom was underneath the android navigation buttons. I’ll report it in the lemmy community.
I, too, loved LiftOff! but the developer had twins and, understandably, that seemed like the end.
But I’ve fallen for Thunder! Dare I try another?
Jerboa is created by the developers of Lemmy.
Thunder is my main app and it’s updated regularly as well. Jerboa is my second choice because that’s the “official” Lemmy app.
I was a big fan of LiftOff!, unfortunately, the developer had twins back in the summer and understandably, the app hasn’t been updated since.
I finally got it working, I was using the wrong URL which I had to use on another app.
Quite like this, looking forward to the update.

Does this app still work with FreshRSS, I can’t get it to login into my account.
Thanks for the update!
I use this on edge and I was going to switch to Firefox but the extension has been removed from the store.
Thank you yes. The original admin, for whatever reason, made an appearance and as you say, created more admins who use the server a lot more.
Everything should continue as normal. They were incredibly close to launching a new instance as well.
I think I’ve just found my next watch. It looks more useful than my current Fitbit Versa. Thank you for bringing it to my attention.
