Refresh OS feature in popos has been a game changer for me
I really don’t get some of these comments. I’ve been using popos on and off since it came out. I would check out gnome extensions to see if anything sticks out to you as being useful for your use case. I would also go into your settings and update your recovery partition. This is also the place to refresh your PC if you need in the future which has been a must-have for me.
tar -cvzf /etc/
Edit: we’re dead :(
If I dual boot windows, I tend to disconnect my Linux drive any time I do anything on the Windows side. Even installing Windows fresh using default settings, it managed to completely erase my Linux disk to put the Windows bootloader on it even though I selected a completely different disk for the Windows OS. Won’t be making that mistake again. And by mistake I mean dual booting Windows. That pile of spaghetti code gets a VM.
Literally just had a kiosk removed from my workplace last week because it was running Windows and kept looping into a BSOD and rebooting. It was kinda entertaining watching it struggle to pull up the kiosk app and then BSOD again.
people don’t stop to murder other people without guns
I live in a red state with lax gun laws. This is probably the stupidest thing I’ve heard anyone say on the Internet. You should sit down and have a talk with Ahmaud Arbery.
It would make it harder to compensate the devs for sure, though. They lost their finances and whoever picks the project back up will need to build their revenue stream from scratch although I feel that a good portion of yuzu contributors will just start funding one of the forked projects.
Pronounced “fuck you”. The “ck” is violent
Bless you for this photo
I have meat at least
Keeping to a resolution requires resolve which is an emotion. You need to introspect and make sure that the resolution that you have chosen is consistent with the price you are willing to pay whether it is monetary or a personal desire. Prepare yourself for the cost. It’s easy to say you’re going to give up alcohol but your mind is going to try to sabotage you every step of the way. Keep your goals to yourself and meditate on them. Take some time out of your day to cultivate the feeling of resolve within you. Literally just remember the feeling you have when you have felt determined to finish something and cultivate that feeling. It’s a fire that burns within you that can become stronger if you feed it. Finally, don’t get discouraged when you fail. You will likely fail a lot but that doesn’t mean you should give up. Keep to your resolution even if you keep tripping up.
As a VIM user, I don’t want you using VIM on my system unless you know how to use it. I don’t want you borking fstab or the passwd file or some other important config because you don’t know how to quit without saving.
The simple joys in life. My relationship with my hubby, cooking a good meal, having a decent cup of tea, reading a good book, there are so many reasons to enjoy life.
I’ve been using obsidian and signal for a while but I’m thinking of setting up a nextcloud instance and using the notes app in that.
There was a time that I actually would have cared about this. I used to use the shopping list feature in keep all the time and I would use Google assistant to add items. When Google randomly decided to switch to adding items to Google Express instead of keep when asking Google assistant to add items to my shopping list, it was such a small thing but it made me realize that I didn’t want to give control of my digital life over to Google to manipulate on a whim. Since then, I have nearly entirely degoogled my life and I can’t really say I’ve been inconvenienced.
Would be a cool feature if it could be leveraged in a secure, private, efficient way that was more useful than 99% of the algorithmic monkey typewriter garbage that’s on the market these days. I don’t need a glorified Cleverbot rifling through my unspeakables.
I’ve worked IT for over a decade and most of my work clothes I get from thrift stores and Costco. More important than the cost of your clothing is knowing how to match colors and patterns. If you’re going to be working a helpdesk position, they’re probably not going to expect a custom tailored suit unless the company is Goldman Sachs or something. You actually look really good in that button-up IMHO.

Thanks for the ELI5. I read the article but had a hard time parsing the significance other than Nvidia proprietary drivers bad
This was really informative! Thank you for sharing
