Beetlecrab Audio Tempera is the most inspiring electronic musical instrument I own. I got it in April, and I’m still finding new ways to use it. It does so much.
Oxi One really is the hardware sequencer to rule them all. Though I’m sure you could get by with a Hapax or Deluge if you don’t mind spending twice as much.
Not a purchase, but Csound has always been an invaluable companion to my music making process. It’s also entirely free and open-source.

It’s the longest one-syllable word last time I checked. Pretty ridiculous that it is one syllable honestly.
It’s been a very long time since I watched it, but I distinctly recall being very annoyed by her character. I just checked out the Wiki, and the very first line on her personality is “[she] possesses an extremely childish and naïve attitude for her age.” While not stupid exactly , is just about what I recall hating about her.
This one happened during a period when moe was more brain-dead than cute, and the sister character who is supposed to be his motivation for everything just ruins the whole show for me she acts so stupid.
The story of Baby Shark is kind of interesting. It used to be a camp song in the 90s. It didn’t become ridiculously popular until the infamous YouTube video that everyone knows. Various people and institutions have tried to sue for ownership, but it was ruled public domain. Anyone can release their own version of Baby Shark if they want.
Not my workplace exactly, but I used to hang out with this Kiwi who worked as a foreign English teacher in Korea in the same small Korean city as me. The foreigner community was fairly close-knit because there was only 50ish of us.
We all knew him. Everyone liked him. Fun guy. A little weird sometimes. He never told anyone his last name. The end of his pinkie finger was missing and if you asked him about it, he always said a shark bit it off.
One vacation about two years into his tenure, he decided to take a trip to Las Vegas. He never came back. I’m not 100% on the details past this point, but what I heard was they stopped him from entering the US because he was wanted in New Zealand on 37 counts of distributing child pornography. He was basically extradited back there and as far as I know went to prison. His trail disappears there.
I guess I can see the appeal of that. But it’s pretty fun feeling like a nail salon samurai, too.
Pretty sure they’re just incredibly sharp. The Japanese like to sharpen things.
I bought a nice pair of fingernail clippers. ~$15 Green Bell from Japan. You hardly have to apply any force to the lever at all, and the nail just slices off neatly and falls inside. Not like my old cheapo pair that went “KACHONK” and endangered anyone in my vicinity of shrapnel injuries.

Haha! I started up DS3 DLC once a lot time ago, and I was rusty from having not played in a while. I got invaded in less than a minute, got whacked, quit the game and never went back. Sometimes I’m just not in the mood for self-flagellation. DS2 DLC almost did me in, but I’m glad I pushed through there.
Crosscode. It’s not required, but they do encourage you to race against NPCs in the puzzle-heavy dungeons. I thought I had finally won one when the boss of the dungeon smoked me three times, and then I got mocked for being the last out of the dungeon. Also, I’m 27 hours in, and the plot that everyone raves about has gone absolutely nowhere. I put the game down a few months back and haven’t gone back. Maybe I’ll pick it up again since it seems a lot of people love something about it, but aside from some interesting combat, I wasn’t feeling it at all.
Sistine Chapel was alright, but really our spare room growing up. Old toys, a bunch of games’ consoles, TRS80 Color Computer, a janky old 20" CRT, and a raggedy old couch. Many of my fondest childhood memories happened there.
I would look at that, but I bounced off VIM hard, so probably not for me.

Kevin J. Anderson’s Saga of the Seven Suns. I started reading it a long time ago, got about twenty pages in and gave up. Much later, I forgot I had tried, and tried again, and got even fewer pages in when I remembered how it is chock full of the most inane pandering exposition I have ever read. Just a torrent of trite, hackneyed, cliché. I can’t understand how it got published, let alone warranted 7 books. Maybe it gets better. I will never find out. I haven’t heard much good about the Dune books he co-authored, either.
I should add that I’ve read Battlefield Earth, and actually enjoyed it. I generally do not have super high standards. If something is entertaining, I’ll give it a chance.
Not mine, but a friend of my dad’s would talk about the time he was an “asshole bagger”. He worked in a slaughterhouse, and his job was to cut a circle around the anus and pull up all the bits that might have poop in them and bag them up. He lasted a day.
