I guess at least this way there’s a greater incentive for companies to make their product applicable for the label

It’s true but at the same time the fact that so many people get that system wrong makes me think maybe it’s not that well thought through. These things need to be intuitive.
Spirits don’t bother me because those will probably be noticeably boycotted at a consumer level. Dairy products are a problem because many people don’t know what is and isn’t US-made. But yeah all in all it’s dissapointing that they’ve already started making deals aka negotiating with terrorists. It’s in none of our best interest really. I guess it’ll be up to you guys to put pressure on your government.
Elevation decreases atmospheric pressure, and the difference is pretty small in the ranges that people actually live.
That’s not entirely true actually. At 1.5km (≈5000ft) altitude it’s roughly a 5°C (≈9°F) difference which might not sound a lot but depending on the dish that can double the cooking time. 1.5km is a relatively high altitude of course but not unheard of for villages, smaller cities and also Denver.
I have like 10 contacts in Signal and 3 in threema, none of which are close friends or family. Everyone still uses whatsapp. I think it would take something like a big security breach for people to switch. Just the prospect of having your personal data stolen and supporting fascist enablers doesn’t seem to be enough.
sounds like someone suffers from stunted psychological maturity development
Nah fuck off
Apparently they’re not any more aggressive than black bears but I wouldn’t want either near me if I don’t know the animal.
That’s fantastic, thanks for letting us know and I’d also be interested in some more feefback down the line!
Do you know if there’s a way to sideload android apps? It’s an awesome concept but without some apps like spotify and a browser I’d end up carrying two devices. I know it wouldn’t be super convenient to browse the web on an e ink display but I need to at least have the option.
Also, people have an annoying habit of calling me via WhatsApp
I hate that “feature” with a burning passion. It’s almost always worse than a regular phonecall and yet explaining to my boomer relatives why they can hear me much more clearly when I call them has not managed to change their preferred method of calling me.
I’ve been using that one for a while and it’s the best authetification app I’ve tried.
If you’re just looking for a compact Victorinox pocket knife with the most essential tools I recommend the Rambler over their basic one. It’s 6€ more but the tools are more useful for everyday carry imo. If you’re looking for a multitool that folds into pliers then any of these are a solid choice. And if you want a big ass pocket knife with lots of tools but nothing unnecessary apart from that damn corkscrew then the Cyber Tool L is a dream come true. You can even use “Cyber Tool L” as a reply to Elon Musk’s tweets.
2025 is the year of the Linux desktop!
They’re both awesome tools in general! I’ve got a custom ahk script in my autostart folder with tons of functionality like timed shutdowns, pinning windows on top, setting window transparency, filling in my email address when I type “@@” and some other stuff. You can check it out here.
And scrcpy is a great alternative to bringing a laptop if you have access to a PC but want to use your own device. At work, visiting family and so on. I posted my results mirroring a virtual second screen that I set up in the dev options here.
Stacher is pretty handy. I don’t think there are any drawbacks.
That’s interesting. Here the AfD just cut the middleman and fulfills both roles.
I’ve met plenty of nice and genuine Americans and even now I don’t think condemning every aspect of their culture and customs is fair. That being said I wouldn’t want to travel to the US. I actually refused an invitation 3 years ago because the fact that ICE agents get to interrogate me on German soil without providing any ID didn’t sit right with me. Seemed dramatic at the time but I feel quite affirmed as of late. I’d genuinely still like to visit the US some day. They have diverse, rich nature there with some completely different species than we have here. But with things being the way they are I’m in no rush to get there.
