Warum nicht beides?

GIMP ist ja hauptsächlich ein umfangreiches Bildbearbeitungsprogramm, was man für künstlerische Zwecke zwar nutzen kann, dafür ist es aber nicht speziell ausgelegt. Es ist eher ein allgemeiner und funktionsreicher Mehrzweck-Editor.

Krita hingegen ist auf künstlerische Anforderungen ausgelegt. Insbesondere wenn man ein Grafiktablett nutzt ist da z.B. die Pop-Up Palette echt nützlich. Und es kommt von Haus aus schon mit unzähligen Standartpinseln. Es macht vieles beim digitalen Malen und Zeichnen einfacher und zugänglicher. Dafür fehlt es dort an mächtigen Bearbeitungsfunktionen, die GIMP wiederum liefert.

Beide haben Stärken und ergänzen sich meiner Erfahrung nach gegenseitig sehr gut, weshalb ich oft eben auch beides nutze.

Wann verstehen die Leute endlich mal, dass LLMs ein Teil von KI sind, aber KI noch so unglaublich viel facettenreicher ist als LLMs und so viel mehr an Algorithmen und Modellen zu bieten hat als das?

A super important life lesson is to always put yourself and your mental health before the company.

This should be the norm. Companies usually don’t care enough about you. They try to nurture loyalty in order to keep wages down while a few up in the hierarchy reap most of the rewards of your hard work.

If you were lying in the death bed, you probably wouldn’t look back and think: “oh gee, I wish I would’ve worked more!”

So always put yourself first over some company.

I don’t know, but have you considered to contact the developer if you want to report this issue? /j

Depending on the machine, I guess it’s likely that those aren’t using Windoofs at all. I would be surprised if there were devices in use during surgery who run on that.

A couple of things which accumulated over time:

1. The changes to API pricing which essentially killed 3rd party apps and made moderation more difficult for mods. I used a 3rd party app as a solution for the following problem:
2. Rounded corner design of images and videos with no option to turn it off. (You can not fathom the infernal hate which I feel for such designs.)
3. Mods high on power who arbitrarily banned me and/or insulted me and Reddit admins didn’t give a fuck about the latter.

4. The more recent AI content deal: feed the AI-mighty machine! And punishing users who altered their previously posted content due to that. And not asking them for consent to feed the machine at all.
5. Disregard and low to no effort communication of Reddit towards the users regarding some of the above concerns. Including spez. Ignoring a plethora of arguments and really showing that they didn’t care.
6. Reddit silently kicking out mods of subreddits which protested against those API changes by going private, going NSFW or other forms of protest and Red it replacing these mods with compliant boot-lickers if with anyone at all.

Yeah… I guess these were my main issues.

I’ve been a happy Lemming since last year when those API changes were pushed (started on a different instance) and never looked back.
