Because Amerika’s military budget is as ballooned as it is specifcally to keep their neocolonies (and those they wish they could neocolonize) from revolting and taking up socialist mantles. We wouldn’t still be blockading and committing genocide as a result in Cuba otherwise. Liberals don’t like hearing their malfeasance; so they at least try to stomp it out everywhere it can be found-- all the anti-‘tankie’ propaganda you find is evidence of that.

  • I always felt like you could have a monster-of-the-month kind of table revolving around some of the more nightmarish Objects; some kind of high fantasy iteration of the Foundation or the Bureau that’s trying to secure these objects to keep them from falling into the hands of civilians and all that

A lot of why I liked it is you also didn’t need super-deep knowledge of esoteric terminology, like while I appreciate the hard roleplay of the Foundation, there’s a point where the redactions get to be a bit much, and you start feeling like “you made that word up.” There’s something that feels a whole lot forbidden about the Holders by nature of it always feels like you’re reading the journals of the deranged regarding these Objects.

  • As much as I like the SCP Foundation, I really wish that it was The Holders that took off instead.

In any city, in any country, there’s a mental institution or halfway house you can try any of these in. There were 2538 of these Objects, but 2000 were lost.

The remaining 538 must never come together. Ever.

Ironically, because the old site was lost to history/the wayback machine; and the only wikias I’ve found that bind these stories only have up to #538, if that, now there really are 2000 missing Objects.
