If you mean you have an unopened 4k Chromecast chances are you don’t have the exploitable firmware. I have one NIB right here and it’s dated 2024 mfg so chances of being unpatched are nearly 0.
I have an orange pi running android 12 hooked up to a TV and the lack of native apps for stuff like hulu [tablets not supported.] and I have the navigation bar stuck on the bottom even in full screen mode. I need to figure out a way to hide that. So it’s not quite so easy. If Lineage can come with the TV configuration working out of the box, then for 50 bucks WITH a remote… its an absolute STEAL.
That would be sick
That wont work at all. Each subscriber needs to get the update which is not a feature of Lemmy at the moment. Simply injecting posts will only copy over content.
Community migration is coming in future releases of Lemmy but right now it’s not possible.
Not everyone wants to block the clowns. I enjoy the show.
Oh it’s givesomefucks, the other clown!
Vegan leather is such crap and I say that as a vegan. I DO always put my phone into a full vegan leather wallet case, but I absolutely will go through a case or 3 before I chuck the phone.
gross
I would consider it for like a kiosk but not a desktop I’d want to use and enjoy. Hardware support is a big one, speed of updates, lack of support release for certain software packages, ect. For example, I use PyCharm for both work and play, and there’s no native client in BSD. I haven’t even looked at the state of Docker.
Currently, Docker needs VirtualBox installed and configured.
No, gracias.
BSD is for a rock solid server stack. Desktop? Why??
Try Garmin. I can put my watch into expedition mode and get up to 50 days of tracking.
I have a bot on pxlmo
What a shit article on a shit website.
As someone that went from a 4a to a 6a I’m really glad as soon as the rumors started to fly around the 8a I grabbed a refurbished 7 pro for a buck and a half CHEAPER than this AI shitfest.
This just makes me want to get into nix even more. Put configs in a git repo and build vms until you have the config you want, then update only when you’re doing something new. I use Arch btw. For desktop. Otherwise it’s a mix fedora, red hat, debian, Ubuntu, cent, bsd, armbien, openWRT, and a few others.
Oh interesting! I was thinking of planning in the kitchen not planning for a kitchen build. That makes WAY more sense!
And how many windows updates reset the setting??
proprietary… kitchen planners? wtf? wtf even is a kitchen planner?
That seems like the easiest thing to replace with something open source.
Fuck blue sky
