But, best-case scenario, you could have committed a sex crime!

I remember trying one in a section of a science museum as a kid!
In the wheels obviously
Not necessarily my favorite shirt, but there’s a picture there of a shirt that says “I’m going to hell, but at least all my friends are there”, worn by a woman with no bra and pierced nipples poking through the shirt and a case of Bush’s Baked Beans in the background. It’s just a hell of a vibe all around 🤣
Edit: here
I have the “MUSIC ⚡ BAND” T-shirt from this 30 Rock scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fiOMbqPHFwo
TBF electric scooters are doing that now. Dude was just ahead of his time.
Also if you take “the way we view cities” literally, they definitely did since they became a popular way for tourists to view a city.
Thinking back on all the RC cars, planes, and yes, hovercraft, commercials that I saw as a kid, I think they ought to have been sued for false advertising. Realistically though they probably had some disclaimer read (at 8x speed) at the end of the commercial that absolved them of any false advertising by saying the commercial was merely depicting the fantasy of the toy and not the actual use of it.
Binging TV isn’t pretty or healthy but it does definitely help time travel past those sad times in your life where you need time to heal
That’s a good point. But then it creates a pretty ugly facade for the network. People who arrive at Lemmy and see a bunch of posts from ghosts that everyone in the know has blocked would create two images of the fediverse. One for people who have curated their experience, and one that is more “raw”
I think it brings up an important question about ban evasion in a fediverse context. How exactly can we ban someone from a community if they can just create an account on a different instance? IP banning isn’t really an option. You could say that you would defederate from instances that let them in, but that’s a very “throw the baby out with the bathwater” type solution.
When their account creation consistently lines up with the last comment of the previous account. When they use the exact same language to describe themselves. And when they keep posting about the same topic with the same tone.
Hey, it’s @fookreddit69@lemm.ee and @Kimdracula@lemm.ee again? Jeez dude, just get off the internet already. You keep getting banned for a good reason, and it’ll keep happening as long as you keep posting stupid bullshit like this.
For anyone coming into this thread with the intent to give OP any kind of positivity or support, I promise you OP will make you regret it. He is an incel and a troll and he’s up to his third account now from being banned so many times. Just downvote and move on.
I love ShellCheck! It’s one of the biggest FOSS projects written in Haskell.
Where did I bitch about music? I bitched about a thread that invites nothing but negativity. I then offered an answer based on the most generous possible interpretation of OP’s question wherein I gave an example of an album which I fully recognize is objectively good, but which I personally find to be overrated in contrast to the rest of my collection.
Yeah it’s of course a good album, I just rarely actually want to listen to it more than some of the other albums in my collection
What do you mean by “your” most overrated album? Obviously for most people “overrated” is just going to be “thing I don’t like but others do”.
Is this thread just an invitation to bitch about disliked music? If so it’s a shit idea for a thread.
On the other hand, if you’re asking what is the most overrated album that we actually own, I would have to say Dark Side of the Moon. I bought it because I kinda like it and felt like I was sort of obligated to buy it when I started collecting vinyl. But I hardly ever listen to it because there are so many albums in my collection that I would prefer to put on most of the time. People hail it as the best album ever made but it just doesn’t have the sort of energy I’m trying to get from listening to music most of the time.
Woah, they made ragdolls from video games into an IRL thing? Crazy merch!
A PhD can get a much higher paying (and likely less physically difficult) job than fast food. The unspoken assumption when someone is “overqualified” is that they will take a better job if the opportunity presents itself.
