You can use Tasker or equivalent apps to limit the battery charge.

I expect that for posts but not for votes. Inherently, we don’t want our votes to be public - that kind of defeat the purpose.
Lemmy is already a privacy nightmare, in some way. There was a comment showing the screengrab of those peiple who upvoted and downvoted a post. Basically, if you self-host an instance, you’ll have access to these. This can easily be weaponized by certain organizations that want to create profiling of lemmy users, e.g NSA and Intelligence agencies.
Yeah. Once I overheard someone chatting behind me while in a train. I knew it was in German because I’ve learnt some long time before. It was the cutest (presumably romantic) conversation I’ve ever even though I didn’t understand much. Before that I’ve always thought French sounded the nicest, but that conversation shattered my belief.
A while later, I went to Germany to visit friend. While at a museum I read out loud some descriptions on items there. He told me I spoke like in films, even like Hitler. Hearing him talking with family, it was very casual and there was no sudden change of intonation like in movies. I somehow realized stereotype in movies ruined my perspective on the language.
The reason is that the Celsius scale has a fixed offset.
Can you explain more on this? I still don’t get it.
As of now, although I am not a man of authority on this subject, I still think temperature difference can be expressed by using celcius simply because the celcius has the same equivalent difference as Kelvin. The difference of the two value of the same unit will still be the same unit.
First, from here
Since the standardization of the kelvin in the International System of Units, it has subsequently been redefined in terms of the equivalent fixing points on the Kelvin scale, so that a temperature increment of one degree Celsius is the same as an increment of one kelvin, though numerically the scales differ by an exact offset of 273.15.
Secondly from here
The degree Celsius (symbol: °C) can refer to a specific point on the Celsius temperature scale or to a difference or range between two temperatures.
Something to consider but not for anyone: if youre thinking of using latex, why don’t just learn how to use raw latex packages. Download the packages and use your own editor and PDF viewer. It you’re using Linux, maybe something like [(neo)vim+vimtex]+zathura. Anyway you can still use LyX to easily create math formula by copy pasting. And for backup, you can use github (plus Dropbox) etc.
you’re trolling right?
Anyway, if not, can you state why? I’d like to learn your train of thought.
you don’t understand, do you? This kind of post is out of place, has ‘attention seeker’ vibe - those that we rarely come across on Lemmy but usually found on Facebook.
I use Nova integrated with Sesame. Unless I can find apps that can have the functions offered by these two apps, I’ve got no choice but to stay.
this is better posted at Facebook.
Instead of just doing W analysis, why don’t you learn SWOT analysis instead. It will water down your bias.
to look at it objectively, if you don’t use the service you’re simply not part of the demographic targeted by the business employing by that service. That’s mutual.
when it says 100% on the screen, it’s actually only 80%
Damn, I need to find out if my not so modern phones display the real or pseudo value.
Tq. that’s a very logical explanation. So I assume (current) fast charging battery management are not capable to mitigate the efficiency issues.
I kind of agree with your approach provided that it really works; needs more input on this. Why would we slow charge as proposed in many of the comments, if the current tech embrace fast charging - kind of defeat the purpose. I never leave my phone changed 100% for long, and my anecdotal evidence can prove that works as my phone battery is reaching 6 years. Anyway, there a post somewhere in lemmy suggesting not to change beyond 85%.
Mind will be 6 years at the end this month and still going strong (considering its age). I make sure not to leave it charged at 100% for a long time. I’ve read through some article in lemmy not ago that not charging it more than 80% will improve its charging life cycle - doing this now.

The sex of Frederica, one of two of his favourite tortoises thought to be female (the other being Emily), as well as his companion since 1991, was cast into doubt in 2017 when island veterinarian Catherine Man indicated that due to a deformity of its plastron its sex could not be verified,[4] and is now known to be male, being renamed Frederik.[1] While Frederik was undergoing the examination, Jonathan came over and did not leave the side of Frederik and the veterinarian during the entire process.[13]
I did it on mine. You can use ‘battery level’ state. Set it between 80-100% for example.
I think I’ve share mine tasker project somewhere in my comment quite awhile ago. anyway, if you want you can DM me.
edit: it’s not totally automatic. Need to manually unplug once reaching the level.
