That was my question - it looks the same as every windows taskbar, just centered and “floating”.

Is a dock just a (visually floating) taskbar locked to the bottom edge, or am I missing some nuance?
That sounds neat, thanks for telling us about it.
Most people are generally happy with our town, so the mayor gets a lot of automatic support. She’s good at the gladhanding and baby kissing - shows up to all the local events at schools and parks and stuff. She always has an opponent but I don’t think she’s too worried.
At what are you best? I usually got stuff like lumberjack or garbage man on aptitude tests at school.
Plus Win+arrow keys to move a window around, maximize, or minimize it. I use it ALL THE TIME.
The Lusty Argonian Maid is probably my favorite fictional book.
I guess putting them in the contacts is simpler, and automatically comes up. Presumably it’s one click from the calendar reminder to the contact so you can call/text them.
Dunno, not a big deal either way.
I’m ambivalent. Makeup is fine, but I wouldn’t say she’s prettier with it. Doesn’t help that currently she’s following some TikTok makeup people and they have her doing a ton of layers and gluing on eyelashes and stuff. I don’t care for it at all, but it makes her happy so I haven’t mentioned it.
… It never occurred to me to put birthdays in the contacts. I’ve only got recurring events!
Little column A, little column B for me.
That’s a fascinating write up, thank you for sharing! I don’t think we hear about transmasc or transnb (?) nearly as often as transfem for exactly the stupid social stuff you mentioned.
I’m a guy and I’ve never felt the need to fight either. I’ve had women disappointed that I wouldn’t fight someone for them, but they might have a weapon, and they almost certainly have friends and could come back later! I don’t see a world where it’s worth the risk for me to fight someone other than immediate self defense and even that is usually avoidable. (Every time, so far)
Oh and miss me with puffing myself up “what! You got beef??” -type nonsense. I refuse to be a dog barking on a chain just for some stupid social standing stuff.
I have not seen that, but I have seen that using gesture navigation, sometimes when I swipe up and hold to see the menu of open apps, there’s a Nova launcher app with just a transparent gray screen. selecting it just goes home, and closing it does nothing.
That’s a great idea. YouTube doesn’t have RSS feeds, does it?
Other than the one I lost at the beach, I lost one on a roller coaster, I recall sitting on one, and a few plastic ones just broke. Not counting whatever I had as a kid, no idea there. Not an unreasonable number, I think.
Five maybe? I lost one nice pair to a wave at the beach, and since then I buy mine at truck stops and dollar stores. It’s much less stressful to wear glasses that cost me $1.50 !
Fair enough!
I have been very happily using an ultra wide monitor, so a left-side vertical taskbar has been the most comfortable for me.
