I’ve never been someone who blocks people and I’ve never been into filtering posts on any site/platform. But there’s no shame in it here. It’s VERY intended for users to have that ability and not just use it when they’re being harassed. For a bit I was even considering using adblock filters to get block some keywords but that hasn’t been as much of a problem lately for me. But just a few communities and accounts are responsible for most of the doom and gloom.
How is this notable or interesting then? I thought we were all just accepting that malicious software is an inherent part of all open platforms.

It’s really frustrating watching the furry community flip out every few months or so when a credit card company pulls the rug from under thousands of artists. All the problems that people complain about like power usage are solved by currencies that aren’t bitcoin. But nobody wants that to be true, because being right is the most important thing in the world.

There was a really big homestuck cutscene (big as in important and highly anticipated, it was just a regular swf file) and so many people were trying to watch it on the mspa website that it died. So the video was mirrored from site to site with a roaming megaflock of homestuck fans following it and overloading every single one along the way. I never saw a higher number of mainstream sites be crippled simultaneously.

You can get them used thanks to apple fanboys inherent need to get the newest version. There’s lots out there due to that. But I get it if you don’t like the idea of used headphones.
This might sound crazy but apple earbuds would be good for you. I actually like having pause and skip buttons, and apparently these do have controls when you touch them, but that’s never worked for me. I think it’s intentionally broken on android which in your case makes them good.

There’s a program called cherrytree that I think is very underrated. It’s probably not a 1:1 replacement for OneNote but I recommend checking it out in case it fulfills a similar but different need.

I’ve run http servers from my phone to copy files from it. For fun I made CSS for the file list and added an “upload file” button. I never got the php max upload size setting to take effect though. And I never bothered with that cert crap. But you CAN run web servers. I found the php web server worked best.
