This might be controversial but I feel that way about Yellow Submarine. Revolver would be my favorite album if not for that song.

From what I’ve read PLA is only biodegradable under very specific conditions. I looked into it and you have to send it to a recycling center designed for PLA and its expensive to do so. I would assume microplastics would still be present too. Even though it can be sourced from plant matter its still plastic.
In 2017 I bought a ThinkPad with a hidpi screen, which I knew would give me trouble with Linux. Fortunately the Fedora 26 beta had just been released and was using Wayland by default (I wasn’t very Linux savvy to do it myself yet). I’ve been using Wayland on Fedora ever since without issue.
I like wezterm a lot but lately have not been impressed with some breaking changes on the main branch. I know its basically a nightly release, but that’s the recommended way to install according to their website. The devs acknowledged it, and recommended using a tiling manager as the fix.
I didn’t know about this specifically, but I’m holding onto my 2017 ThinkPad until I can buy an Arm laptop and run Linux on it.
Love this thread. Here are some of my favs off the top of my head. My music tastes are all over the place.
That whole album is amazing.
wezterm. Works great on wayland and the documentation is amazing. And it’s built in rust if you’re one of those people.
I have an old mini PC that I’m going to use with proxmox to share some of the load from my nas. Today I setup tailscale and for it working with unbound DNS so I can use my domain when connected.
It’s endless!
Just wanted to say, I searched ddg for a sway everforest theme and was thrilled to see a lemmy link come up.
Whaaaat! I had no idea. This is blowing my mind. I’ve watched this guy’s channel for years and didn’t know about this.
Trying this ASAP
Guest and private networks respectively: This LAN is your LAN. This LAN is my LAN.
Magit for Emacs is amazing. It helped me understand git.
Pomegranate and yogurt.
For me, they both suck. I’ve been on Linux for close to 10 years now and continue to enjoy it more and more.
However, I will say, that if I need to recommend a computer to somebody who knows nothing about computers and doesn’t want to know anything, I will recommend Apple. I die a little inside each time though, knowing about their right to repair and privacy policies.
I haven’t seen exercise mentioned nearly enough in this thread. Doing an hour of yoga before bed makes sleep soo much easier.
