Really? Responses like this are driving people away from Lemmy to what?

Tell me a single place on the internet that would have less snarky or sarcastic answers.

Like this is the most mild snarky and true answer, but get mad whatever.

Like I didn’t give the full truth because I didn’t know it, but I gave a truth. It was kind of a ask. A stupid question Get a stupid answer.

You didn’t asj Is it gone and deleted? Is it still around? Meh

  • Yeah I have a Linux server that is constantly being hit by SSH requests and bad password requests… So if I could redirect them to this black hole thing I’d love that. But I really Don’t understand how I could do that without destroying being able to connect to the website? Honestly I should make it so I can only SSH in via my local network since I never do it from the outside network anyway… I maybe just make a SSH key pair…

Promise I don’t really know much about security and the real problem is securities only ever something that people care about when it’s too late. Ugh

Yeah, usually if there’s a place that’s tip-centric it’s owned by someone who shows up RARELY if at all, certainly not to work there, and has at least one level of management between them and any anyone who is tipped; the managers who do the majority of the work for them at slightly ABOVE minimum wage

Often suggesting what seems like completely obvious and simple solutions to people outside of your country, norms and culture can make you seem ignorant.

Congrats, you’re now an unofficial American!
