jlow (he / him)@discuss.tchncs.deto KDE@lemmy.kde.social•Had a nice 3-day conference in #Gujarat, #India last month by #KDE. I published a blog post on my experiences here https://ravidwivedi.in/posts/kde-india-conference-2025/.1·9 days agoThanks for the write-up, that was really interesting to read!

Can we get a logo redesign, though? “eesa” always looks a bit weird and it’s not helping that they made the "e"s look different from each other (and also remind me of the Internet Explorer 😬). Naso logo also screams SPACE (stars, orbiting comet) whereas eesa can be a logo for anything, really.

That looks amazing! Mind telling where it is?

That wayI can still search subs via the original file name if Bazarr doesn’t pick it up (which hasn’t happenend in a long while, tbh).
To be fair, I have never used Blender with an Amd GPU and it’s a very real possibility that I wouldn’t notice and the differences are only there in tge benchmarks.
Just FYI: I’ve never had an AMD Gpu (thanks to Blender’s support seeming poor) and while it j5as been spotty in the past, I’ve used Fedora, PopOS and Bazzite with zero Problems on NVIDIA. Drivers have come a long way in the last years.

Yeah for NVDIA you either wanna use a distro that bakes it in (Bazzite, PopOS) or hop over to tge command line and install the drivers there, e. g. Fedora:
https://rpmfusion.org/Howto/NVIDIA
No idea how GUIs are for this nowadays (Manjaro, Linix Mint, Ubuntu, back when I used those distros it wasn’t working too well most of the time).
+1 for ListenBrainz!
jlow (he / him)@discuss.tchncs.deto Linux@lemmy.ml•What should I expect upon switching from windows?7·19 days agoI think PopOS is a good option for gaming since ypu can get it with NVIDIA drivers included if you need them but I’d reccommend looking at Bazzite as well:
Generally I’d say: Be prepared to keep an open mind, while you can use Linux like any other OS in most cases nowadays don’t get stuck on wanting to have everything, every workflow exactly like it is on Windoge. Try new things, tinker, it’s fun!
Good news! Weirdly enough, I can’t use tab groups (not able to drag tabs on top of each other, there is no option in right-click dialogue), though I am on FF 138.

(And obviously 👎 for the inclusion of useless AI bs, would be nice if you can turn that off?)
jlow (he / him)@discuss.tchncs.deto KDE@lemmy.kde.social•This Week in Plasma: move by default when dragging-and-dropping2·19 days agoTwo things: datahoarders don’t like move since if something goes wrong your file is gone, copy is the safer option. Second, in the video, the cursor still gets a green ±icon when moving which suggest copyijg for me so this feels wrong, what do others think?
