I personally haven’t ran into any yet, tbh I have more issues with SystemD dependent apps (Also keep in mind Alpine packages and maintains apps in their repo so they don’t require GLIBs/SystemD)

I wouldnt call it enthusiast grade, every day usage is easy but installation can be tough (it gives you a barebones system).
If you mean the current US election, absolutely nothing. Americans need to suffer at least for a short while to truly understand what they have done. Once the American people are willing to accept reason then any method of resistance from civil disobedience to revolution becomes acceptable.
Alpine:
It may be very mildly damaged, shouldn’t be an issue just replace some parts
Not sure
Continuing to use Reddit is just sunk cost fallacy, does it have more posts? Yes but Lemmy can have more posts if we use it. As someone who spent a long time building and maintaining subreddits did it hurt a bit when I left? Yes. Was it worth it? Absolutely
I wanted a Wayland WM but also something lightweight
I personally use Alpine on my Thinkpad
I checked, if you insist on a tablet your best option is going with an older microsoft surface tablet.
Yeah but they won’t be as locked down and have better specs, there are pocket sized laptops if that’s what you want. It won’t be more portable but it’ll be equvilant.
At that point you wouldn’t benefit much from the tablet features, have you considered getting a tiny laptop (I can recommend a few)?
I’ll probrally be one of the few people here to say this but tbh if you need Windows then don’t feel pressured to use Linux. Its not worth (IMO) the stability loss to dualboot, feel free to keep using Windows.
The Lenovo IdeaPad Duet works with postmarketos (mobile Linux), keep in mind considering your price range and considering its a tablet you’re lucky to get 4gb of ram at most.
If you’re willing to go that far at that point it’s probrally easier (and more stable) to just completely overwrite your windows partitions.
Spice tea :3
Windows will actively attempt to destroy your Linux partition at every opportunity, you can dual boot but it won’t be a fun experience.
I managed to get Steam working with some work, heroic games launcher worked with no extra effort, and everything in the repo is good (Alpine is independent)
