I just added the curses to the normal text replacement settings in IOS and I have never had a ducking problem

I eventually got the GPU passed through to the VM… it took about a day of following different guides. Then I tried the same thing on a container and it was about 3 mins work and it was in infinitely better experience with plex in a container instead of a vm
I stumbled across this the other day…
As a shortcut to configuring it, you can go to the site (like Kagi) and if they have a text field to paste into (or a search field) you can generally right click on the field and select ‘add keyword for this search’… so say you add ‘kagi’ as a search term (in the cmdlet) in the browser address bar you would just type kagi <paste url> and hit enter
It feels like there are two types of productions since Covid… $200m+ epic productions, or Netflix style lazy cookie cut crap. I hope one day we go full circle and resurrect some forgotten genres that just don’t get funded anymore
Maybe there is no kool-aid and it is just better, hence why these apps exist. As you said, RCS is coming yet people still aren’t happy. It sounds like Google can’t make a decent messaging app and is mobilising it’s user base to force the issue instead of innovating
Why not go whinge to Google to develop a messaging system that Apple users want to integrate with…
Flatnotes for me. I haven’t tried many others, but it was perfect for what I needed. Markdown, writes plain text files so no database/easy to backup
I don’t ’hate’ them, and I am comfortable that the information I share is ok-ish.
I have adblockers, I use Firefox, I don’t look at ads (ever) I don’t have anything stored with them that I care about too much… I am at peace with it, not happy, not upset
Band of Brothers or The West Wing. Both are brilliantly written… for something funny I like Chuck
I run a couple of instances of Plex in Proxmox containers. I use containers so I can share the GPU/Network across more than one CT. I think if you use a VM it can only pass through the GPU to one
They are overpriced based on a system you can build yourself, but the target audience for a NAS is someone who doesn’t want to spend days googling guides when a hard drive craps the bed or the os glitches. When I think of how much my NAS was, what I have stored on it and how much I use it, it is probably the best value for money thing I own.
This happens to me when there is an app keeping a file opened on NFS storage mapping
Fitness / instagram model
Cheap second NAS that I power up every now and again, then I run a dsynchronize profile which replicates the important stuff (video), and all the stuff I could never replace I put on a usb and keep it elsewhere
Crystal Skull for me… the first 3 Indiana Jones movies are near perfect, but all in different ways… but the thing that ties them together is action, adventure, a simpl-ish story, some treasure, and they are beautiful. I was so pumped for Crystal Skull.
I was away for work, had a free night and there was a cinema a stroll away. I got a 6 pack of wild turkey and coke and started walking only to find it was about a 90min walk… I was 6 turkeys deep but this was going to be magical, right? Nope, it was the biggest disappointment of a movie I have ever seen, then I had to walk 90mins back to my hotel reliving it.
Before Covid I was wearing redwings as my daily and they were so comfortable, bought a second pair in a different style (which is a big investment for me) and then Covid hit and now I spend 90% of my day in Ugg boots, socks or no shoes… oh well, I think I have a lifetime worth of boots there
For me it was Wonder Woman 1984. I thought the first one was pretty good and the trailer for the second looked like it was something I was going to enjoy… I was wrong
Maybe they think they have the one up on Apple this year and want to lead rather than follow… I hope it is something exciting, even though I am an iPhone user. Any innovation is great though I am guessing it will be AI related
