Will echo the recommendations of debian or mint. I have mint on my 13 year old rog laptop, it’s my lab computer and runs klipper for one of my printers, pretty much always up, very rarely reboots. Debian is what I run on my 4 year old zenbook s, pretty much perfect for my uses, it’s what I cart around for light/mobile work and I swear it actually has better battery life than it did running windows.
I have an nvme enclosure with a 256 gig drive in it, I think I partitioned a quarter of it for ventoy, rest is for regular storage. It’s really nice to have if I do family support, have any iso I need and any utility I might need on top of that. Is it overkill for my needs? Yeah, but it’s nice to have and I didn’t go for anything fancy, just a cheap crucial drive.

Historically I do data work, lots of integration and automation tools to support solutions. Primarily back end, some DBA work, do infrastructure and architecture too so less these days with keys on keyboard. Did learn Basic, C and Java in school but have never used in a work environment.

I was literally mini ranting to my partner about it yesterday. I keep my bluetooth off unless I’m actively using it so it’s annoying. Hold still brings you to the bluetooth settings.
What’s even more annoying is aside from the internet, every other bubble is a toggle on mine so you’re now mixing actions on the same looking icons.
Edit: apparently I missed the little tiny arrow in the corner, that should tip me off of the entire different behaviour
I remember getting wicked food poisoning on a work trip, only time I’ve ever had it and I used to travel a lot. May actually be the worst thing I’ve ever experienced, I was lucky the toilet was really close to the bathtub else I’d have had to priortise one or the other. The next day I felt dead, do not wish it on anyone.
That’s the boat I’m in, I swapped my laptop from kubuntu to Debian which is solid for me. Server has a lot setup on it that I could move but for now Ubuntu server works, not really feeling the push to change.
I’ve literally never had issues like this with Linux updates, tbf I use Debian and Debian derivatives so maybe that’s why (Debian on my laptop, Ubuntu server on my nas/server, Debian and Mint for my 3d printers). On the other hand I’ve had horrible experience with Bluetooth in windows for audio, some devices losing audio mid meeting but remaining connected for examole.
I used a lepotato on my last project in place of a pi3 but libre computer totally has rockchip boards available as well. Price wise seemed decent, documentation was decent enough for me and more importantly I could actually get one.
Anecdotal, I’ve not actually had a lot of instances (if any) of Spotify having something but Tidal not, usually find albums that I’m interested in from band camp no problem and if it’s missing its missing on both. Sound quality is noticeably higher which is the reason I tend to prefer, the app has gotten better in my experience
I have all my digital copies on my NAS with jellyfin to stream them as well, sometimes it’s just easier to stream off tidal or Spotify though
