Yeah, that’s definitely not a retro feature but my my, that’s a cool one. 10 years ago, I wouldn’t imagine something like this on a terminal emulator.
Hahaha, been there. :)
Huh, cool! Apparently the dev who made this thought about everything. :)
If I remember right, they were adjustable in its settings. But it’s been a long time since I’ve used this.
This is more like Fallout than Portal but maybe it can work for you.

Anyway, you seem a little furious for no reason. The other person probably haven’t played Strive too.

The new video player will replace Totem on Gnome 49.6·14 days agoTo be fair, I don’t know any benchmark for this comparison. But I just tried a relatively big file with both of them. Opening part is not really noticeable, but fast-forwarding is much better and slicker in mpv. In VLC it looks like it’s jumping between scenes, in mpv you actually see the motion of it’s getting fast-forward.

muhyb@programming.devto Linux@lemmy.ml•Which X11 software keeps you from switching to Wayland?1·14 days agoEven on X11? I tried it on Wayland months ago to see its state and it was generally fine except gaming. Though the results still might depend on the card in use I guess.
muhyb@programming.devto Linux@lemmy.ml•Which X11 software keeps you from switching to Wayland?2·15 days agoWell, you can hold onto that GPU for a little longer with X11. But it seems you’ll need an upgrade some time later. Though if you don’t game (aside from FOSS ones), Nouveau driver should do the job for your daily needs. However, it still needs time for Wayland.
muhyb@programming.devto Linux@lemmy.ml•Which X11 software keeps you from switching to Wayland?4·15 days agoThere are still some quirks but it’s been generally fine for me with Nvidia, almost a year now.
